Paparazzi 29 Clubhouse — Restaurant in Gżira

It was mixed feeling going to this restuarant. If you are going to eat outside then you can enjoy the view of the street and the sea and inside is decorated with Malta's soccer team (that's what I think). However the service were different depending on the waiters that's what I think. At first my friend and I were sitting outside waiting for the waiter to come by. It took quite a while to let the waitress notice us. I think she was charge of outside/terras. We ordered 3 beers and it took her 15min to serve it. At that time, it wasn't hectic and only 2 tables are waiting to be served including ours. But in our opinions were, if you ordered some food, they might serve you a lot faster (this was what we thought after observing out tables). Due to bad weather we decided to go inside. I finished my beer so I was thinking of ordering some cake. They didn't had any cake list on the menu card so I went up to waiter if they have any desert card. After 2 min he has brough this broad with lists of deserts on it. Then he has came to take the order and it didn't took so long time he got me a cake (so the service inside were a lot efficient then the terras). Anyways I will recommend you to go there if you are walking by Manoel Island to walk around and visit the Duck village (it's very strange since there are other animals inside duck village). Unfortunately Fort Manoel is closed to public due to rennovation. However I am certain that they serves great dishes even though I didn't ate there I have seen it and people were enjoying them with nice portion so I definitely won't stop you from going to this restaurant for some lunch or dinner (after all it has the view!)

If im not mistaken this is the second time around on Easter and in general holidays where food takes over an hour to be served. Management take note - if you have a ok sized kitchen but close to 50 tables, the maths doesn't add up in terms of service. All I heared were people complaining on how long they had to wait to have their food served, and to be honest not great food either. I ordered the uncle fester burger with fries and 15 euros for that i expected the taste to be better, but it was rather blend. Why might does this happen you think? Because kitchen staff are pressured to quickly serve food because of the customers who are waiting, complaining so overall you will get a one star service, and one star food. Bill still came up close to 200 euros, abroad management of such establishments would tell customers its on the house so that from this experience they can learn and try to not repeat this again as its been done multiple times at least the times i came with my family its been like this. At least we got a coffee on the house. But ladies and gents that's most of the catering and hospitality industry for you. Bad or slow service, food not cooked properly yet prices are high or have gone up further way to attract quality tourism i say! Truly laughable and sad in reality, hopefully management will understand where all this is coming from, but someone had to say it, and I'm glad I did hopefully it will resonate or leave something but i doubt it, however the important thing is that one tries! Here's for things improving and maybe a next time but after this experience (second time around) I'm really not sure ill be there to see the changes implemented hopefully....

Very disappointed,we ordered a table for 6 ppl, the table was inside near the window, at that time while seated the sun was very strong and we couldn't resist the sun shade. Asked the waiter if another table is available!!! The waiter informed us there are no tables available at that time🥵🤐. The waiter tried to do here upmost and open the umbrella 🏖️ outside to try to make some shade. Well done to the waiter 🙏. I suggest is that at least the window glass will be covered with UVB sun ray these don't cost a lot of money and the costume will be more satisfying 😉. With regards to the food, we ordered 3 starters to share and only 2 were delivered to our table🤐🙄, we asked the waiter to proceed with the main course, thus one of the item wasn't the same as we ordered 🫣🫣🫣 so we had to wait unit all of us were served with food. I know that restaurants on Sunday lunch are very busy, but pls ensure that at least provide a proper atmosphere and good service. Much respect to the...
