A Hidden Gem with a Golden-Hearted Owner!
Last night, I was wandering through Gzira, craving some grilled chicken. After a few unsuccessful stops, I found myself at Smash It, a small independent spot run by a Libyan owner. From the moment I walked in, he greeted me with such warmth and kindness—it felt like I had known him forever.
I ordered a simple portion of grilled chicken, and not only did he offer it at an incredibly fair price, but he also surprised me by adding fries and sauce for free. “It’s how we do between brother and sister,” he said with a smile. That little moment of generosity completely made my night.
We chatted while he prepared my food, and I got to hear about his journey—how he recently opened his shop, his passion for what he does, and his dream to make it grow. You could feel the heart he puts into this place, and it reflects in everything—from the way he treats his customers to the flavors of his food.
And speaking of food, wow! His homemade sauces were absolutely incredible. You can tell he takes pride in every detail. The meal was delicious, fresh, and made with love.
Supporting small businesses like this one is what truly matters. If you’re in Gzira, do yourself a favor and stop by Smash It. Not just for the food (which is amazing), but to meet this beautiful soul who deserves all the success in the world.

Edit post answering : buying supermarket stuff is not cooking I'm not into restaurant business, but it is called doing a check of your stocks and what's is available and not : ANTICIPATION. It is called sense and logic..I still hope you for the best and learn the basic of handling customer: say we are sorry to kept...

I ate there more or less 5 times and I'd do it over and over: not only the people who work there are really friendly and cheerful, but their food is sensational and thanks to them I ate probably one of the best burgers of my life (Rome). Thank you very much Smash It for your services during this week, now I know where I will eat when I will come back to Malta. Really reccomended, although now I'm sad that I won't be able to enjoy such a burger and...
