*update after owner response: this is my first time ever having anyone lie.
I did not (and never asked) for the one table on your balcony. I did not even know you have a balcony.
I asked for any open table. One female server said they were full on the first floor and asked the male server for a spot on the second floor.
As the man was looking upstairs, a couple entered the place behind me and asked "do you have any tables available? we do not have a reservation". They spoke English and I was standing right there.
The other server returned from upstairs and then you (if you are an older lady with long hair) came up. Both servers talked to you for a moment and then you pointed at the couple who was standing behind me and took them upstairs to a table.
You did not know what was going on. You just chose the couple to be seated.
The other servers (male and female) both looked at me and apologized.
The male server ran upstairs and told me "wait please, I'm sorry, let me go look again and find something".
Other diners in the room downstairs also saw this occur.
I do not recommend this place for any solo traveler. Came here no reservation, and they went to go check if there was a seat.
As they checked, a couple came in behind me (no reservation too) and they were sat at the one table apparently available upstairs.
It's very interesting sometimes to travel solo. I had this place on my "will try" since a friend here recommended it.
Being left out of a table in lieu of two people, but I was the first one there...that's a weird feeling. Not a great one.
Thankfully this is the first time I've ever run into this in my travels.
They chose a two person option for more money. A couple, again, that arrived after me/after they went to check on tables for me.
But how AWFUL it feels to be left standing there when you were there first...and watching them seat a...

This was our second time at Fasta. After a great first time at this restaurant, we were excited to return.
However, I am sorry to say that the overall quality has been downgraded significantly. Maybe first-timers won’t feel the same way, and I am just spoiled from the first amazing experience, but the food simply didn’t live up to expectations at all.
From our visit a few months ago to now, everything is more expensive (including the additional cost for a larger portion) and the serving sizes somehow got smaller. I am more than happy to pay extra, but you can’t expect people to be pleased with smaller portions then.
Moreover, I wish I had read the recent reviews about the Cacio e Pepe, because they seem to have the same issues as I encountered. It is supposed to have truffle in it, but not a single speck made it onto my plate. What is even worse is that a dish with “pepper” in its name failed to have any included in the dish. I just got a small gloopy cheese pasta at an extortionate price.
Tiramisu was fine, but again smaller portions in an unnecessarily large vessel.
Service was fine, atmosphere is great. It’s a shame the main component - the food - has taken such a...
Read moreI've been to Fasta before multiple times, last time - 6 months ago, and the food was always great, delicious pasta.
This time I brought my friends, and the food was a disappointment. First of all, I order spinach pesto casarecce, which tasted like seafood. It had a strong aftertaste of squid and clams, all my friends confirmed it. The restaurant replaced the pasta with no hesitation, but then the manager and the cook came and said that it was impossible that I would taste seafood in it, because it's cooked separately. No sorry, just denial. I have taste buds, and my friends do too, and what's impossible - is for all of us to get it wrong.
Second of all, all our pastas came unseasoned, with absolutely no salt. We used half of the salt shaker, and we saw other guests doing it extensively too. My friend had a pasta with sausage and zucchini that came with no zucchini.
Kudos to our waitress who was super nice and helpful, and was trying to make this unpleasant experience better.
All in all, the food was nothing like I remember, tasteless, disappointing and not worth the money in this case. The reaction of the manager and the cook was strange, but i also saw how you reply to the negative comments here, so I'm...
