Paradise Bar and Restaurant Xlendi — Restaurant in Munxar

Try to find a " real" restaurant in Xlendi! It's almost impossible. Xlendi has been overtaken by the tourist trade! Nothing but huge umbrellas and tents for diners on the run! Luckily, there still exists a bright spot away from all the tourists. This spot is called Paradise. Located on a quiet, palm tree lined street,this little eatery is what Xlendi used to be in days gone by. Thank goodness it still exists for the more "down to earth" diners. It's home cooking away from home. Whether it's grilled calamari, fried rabbit, eggplant parmagiano, or a dozen other fresh dishes, the food is cooked to perfection! At the time that I’m writing this, the place has a 4.9 star rating. That’s probably the best for a restaurant that I’ve went to. However the slow service (it being crowded could not be used as an excuse) and the mediocre quality of the food, left me puzzled. Die beiden jungen Mädchen die heute Abend das Restaurant führen waren leider beim Essen komplett überfordert. So waren die Beilagen ( Kartoffeln, Karotten und Gelberüben) für 3 Personen nicht ausreichend. Der Lachs würde mit einer fertigen Süss-Sauer Sosse für Hünchen serviert. Die Tagessuppe würde zum doppelten Preis als Fischsuppe abgerechnet, obwohl vorher ausdrücklich nach dem Inhalt der Tagessuppe gefragt wurde und der Preis bestätigt wurde.
