Very cold and sterile interior. We had hoped that the food would compensate. It did not. We had the octopus and the fried Maltese goat cheese as starter. Both truly disgusting. The octopus was just plate full of the octopus which tasted like grill and very fishy. No additives whatsoever. The waitress was kind and tried to give me a tomatosaus. It didn't help and I sent it back with 3 bites taken. My wife ate the fried goat cheese, but it tasted like it came out of the freezer and popped in the fryer. As main I had the pumpkin risotto and she had the truffle cannelloni. The cannelloni wasn't to bad, nothing special. The risotto, I'm afraid to say, was the worsed risotto I've ever had. Great expectations after reading the reviews. No good service. Start with an aperitif and found ants inside our prosecco glass.😰 The guy with gray sute and pink tie served us, no explanation about the food, no smile no customer service at all, very disappointing. No water was served no plates was given for the sharing dishes, and we should ask for the things 🤦. Not happy about the food and very disappointed about lobster ravioli, so dry. Couldn't believe it. A definite find and the most surprising aspect of all was that there were only a small number of hotel patrons dining! Lady chef delivered a fine culinary experience matched to the well considered menu supported ably by the attentive staff. There are a good number of fine eateries in Malta and even though this restaurant is attached to a hotel, it's certainly worth consideration if you are this side in Sliema.......we would highly recommend sharing the lemoncello tiramus flowerpot as an end to a fantastic dining experience.
