This evening I had the pleasure of dining at Machu Picchu in the Plaza Shopping Mall, Sliema, and I can confidently say it was a very good experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, the restaurant impressed us with its spotless cleanliness and inviting ambiance. Everything about the place felt well-maintained and thoughtfully prepared.
The service was outstanding. The woman who took our order was incredibly helpful and kind, going out of her way to make us feel comfortable and ensure we had everything we needed. Her friendly demeanor and attentiveness really set the tone for a wonderful evening. The chefs, too, were highly professional, preparing our meals with precision and care. It was clear that every dish was made with passion and high-quality ingredients.
Speaking of the foodāwow! The flavors were absolutely amazing, with each dish bursting with authenticity and freshness. Iāll be attaching photos of the meals to this review, but let me just say that the presentation was as impressive as the taste. Itās rare to find a place where the food is this good and yet so affordable. For the quality we received, the prices were incredibly reasonable, making it a fantastic value for money.
All in all, this was a truly memorable dining experience. Machu Picchu has a great team of staff and chefs who clearly care about delivering exceptional service and top-notch food. I will absolutely be returning and highly recommend this gem to anyone visiting Sliema or the Plaza Shopping Mall.
Thank you to everyone at Machu Picchu for a delightful meal! Looking forward to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFood here was amazing. Service was good until I heard them insulting whites (gringo) in their native tongue thinking nobody would understand what they were saying. Smiles to anyone speaking Spanish though so a little racist here Iām ashamed to say- and I donāt make that statement lightly
Update Nov 23-
I see the owner is trying to ācorrect meā by basically calling me ignorant and assuming I have no idea what Iām talking about when I say āgringoā. Well to you sir let me start by saying this. I was married to a Latina for 9 years. My sister has been with a Latino for over 25 years. We understand many many words in foreign languages- especially from those countries. Let me further add that it wasnāt simply the use of the word āGringoā that offended me- it was the two girls body language, whispering to each other and general attitude while speaking to those people that gave them away. So while I appreciate you defending your business and employees I DO NOT appreciate you trying to make me sound ignorant and even sending me a definition of the word. I know an insult in any language or culture and you trying to make me look ignorant only further proves my point. I suggest treating all of your customers with decency instead of playing favorites with only those who speak Spanish (Espanol) and learning to correct your mistakes and better yourselves before further insulting people...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI hardly ever leave reviews but OMG this restaurant became my favourite restaurant while I was in Malta. I am Peruvian and it made me feel like I was eating authentic Peruvian food from my family home. The portions were huge! The flavours were spot on as if I never left Peru and it look exactly as if I was eating in a restaurant, very well presented. From all the Peruvian restaurants I have tried so far in Europe this one is easily in my top two. The prices are affordable and worth every single cent. I wish I could eat more from this restaurant and I canāt wait to go back to Malta just for this. The only criticism I would have to make is that they never gave me cutlery even though I ordered it and paid for it every time I ordered my food. But everything else was spot on...
