Very poorly managed center unfortunately. Restrooms require payment, yet there is no way to make the payment unless you happen to have a 1 euro coin in your wallet. Notes and cards are not accepted and there is no ATM in the centre.
It's best not to go here with kids as it's unsafe and unhygienic. Toilet staff member/security was untrained and rude and not able to understand or speak English.
Numerous reviews below have pointed out the same issue yet centre management is unresponsive to this crucial hygiene issue. It's only fair then to assume that management also turn a blind eye to other hygiene and safety issues.
My point will be proven by the fact that management won't respond to this review.
Edit: Thanks for finally responding to the numerous complaints about the bathroom system.
Paying for bathroom access is not the issue at hand. It's the fact that the current system doesn't allow any method of payment other than a 1 Euro coin. This is the key issue.
Its good to hear that Plaza has the intention to address the problem, although only time will tell how long it will take to actually implement other methods of payment.
I would argue that until this is improvement is actually implemented you need an immediate work-around. At the very least you could provide the bathroom attendant with change so that patrons can pay by...
Read moreThe fact that you have to pay for the restrooms is something that I have never experienced in shopping malls in my travels. Why would you even use the excuse of vandalism when you have security cameras everywhere and dedicated staff for the restrooms. As you said it's a deterrent - not for vandals but for anybody to use the restroom. So now you can keep your restrooms clean, shiny and empty, like the rest of the shopping mall. For other travellers please note the Plaza is purely a tourist trap. Not even a clever one since restrooms are marketed to attract you to the mall. Clearly management missed a crucial sales & marketing memo before implementing the "We do not want you to use our...
Read moreWhile shopping with our 2-year-old daughter, she had a really bathroom accident, and we urgently needed to clean her up. We hadn’t visited this place in a while, and to our surprise, they now charge 1 euro for toilet access, only accepting cash—not even card payments, as you’d expect in most developed countries. When we asked the attendant for help, she was unkind and unsympathetic, refusing to let us in without the fee. It was incredibly stressful, and we ended up having to ask strangers for a euro. After this experience, it’s safe to say we won’t be returning...
