We stumbled upon Karaï Kreol on the recommendation of a local, and it turned out to be a highlight of our trip. The menu is small, with just three dishes that change daily – a testament to the care and attention that goes into each creation.

The lovely Tracy guided us towards the chicken and lamb, and we were not disappointed. Both dishes were bursting with flavor, and we practically inhaled them. To finish, we indulged in a delicious flan that was the perfect end to the meal.

We had a lovely lunch at Karaï Kreol, a charming little spot that truly celebrates Mauritian cuisine. I had the Pork Daube, which was incredibly tender and flavorful—perfectly cooked with a rich, comforting sauce. My friend went for the Chicken Curry, and it was equally delicious, with just the right amount of spice and depth.

What made the experience even better was the service. Tracy took great care of us throughout our meal. She was friendly, attentive, and happy to chat about the dishes, making us feel right at home. You can tell she’s passionate about what they do there.

Been wanting to try this charming spot for ages. Finally today we did. What a lovely hidden little gem. This will be a regular stop. Service was super friendly Food delightful - love the fact that the menu is small. Freshly made. Kitchen sparkling Music fantastic. Don’t miss this spot.

An addition. Since this review we have been back as couple - SUPER Yesterday 8 of us descended on Karai Kreol. Some very picky eaters amongst us and I was concerned. BUT. Everyone enjoyed their meals. In fact they did more than enjoy. They loved it.
