An employee from the hotel drank from our brought bottle of rum inside our room while we were on the beach. ||Not once but 2 days in a row ☹(((||We had made a mark on the bottle when we could see someone had drunk our rum while it was in our room.||We were shocked that this could happen and angrily went down to reception and presented the bottle. The manager at the hotel explained that it must be someone from the cleaning service and she would pay my expenses for the rum. We explained to the manager that||When we arrived at the hotel for an 8-day holiday, we were met by an elderly man at the reception who had to show us 2 rooms as we were traveling with some friends. He smelled strongly of alcohol and showed us to 2 wrong rooms and tried to unlock them before realizing we were at the wrong rooms and his information about breakfast, safe box wifi was lacking.||The hotel is located right next to the main road through Grand Baie and the traffic is violent and very annoying for staying at the hotel both day and night.||In our room the window could not be closed to the road as the window was crooked and when we complained about it we were given some towels to muffle the noise from the traffic and not least the many dogs that barked a lot both day and night.||||The neighbor to the hotel has 2 dogs on a roof terrace right up to the hotel and the dogs are out at night and they barked a lot.||The safe box in the room did not work and it was not fastened to the wall.||Several times there was no hot water for bathing in the afternoon.||Air conditioning worked fine until it broke and we had to be moved to another room.||Breakfast at the hotel was not a buffet, but exactly the same breakfast 7 days in a row. No cheese, no cold cuts, no cake. You could only get a cold boring sausage for your omelet or scrambled eggs and if you asked for bacon it was not possible. Regular coffee or tea, no other options. Very monotonous and incredibly bad with no options.||When we were going home we asked for a late check out if possible and the manager was kind and gave us a room free of charge but at the same time asked us not to write this review, now that she had paid for the rum and gave us this service.||Wifi was ok, but some nights it barely worked.||The restaurant under the hotel does not belong to the hotel and it is not they who prepare the hotel's breakfast, so it has nothing to do with the monotonous breakfast.||||WE WILL NEVER...

If the only thing that matters to you is a breathtaking view, then you will be left smiling. Living on the island now for just over a year, we often go out looking for good places to enjoy a nice meal, today was breakfast with some friends.||We called ahead to ensure they can accommodate us and we were told the breakfast is a buffet. Cost of RS500 per person. Gorgeous balcony tables overlooking the stunning Grand Baie.||Started us off with very nice croissants, fresh fruit juices, fresh fruits and yogurt. Being caffeine addicts we also requested some coffee which they gladly provided.||At this point if you are a small eater and have below average expectations you would be reasonably pleased with what you have received thus far, even though this is by no means a buffet breakfast.||A second waiter came to our table asking us how we would like our eggs done. There were a mix of scrambled(for my friend's 3 year old) and omelets for my son and my friend's wife. For my friend, my wife and myself||we requested fried eggs. I asked for my eggs to be easy over. This was a unexpected response to how i would like my eggs done, so i explained that i like my egg white to be fully cooked, and my yolk to be somewhat runny.
