Shlomo — Restaurant in Isle Mauritius

​What a wonderful surprise! Shlomo in Grand Baie is a fantastic family-run restaurant that truly excels at vegan cuisine.

​The Food: We were genuinely impressed. The food is surprisingly good, well-balanced, and the chefs clearly know how to make unique flavor combinations match. Knowing that they source all their products locally is a huge bonus and speaks to the freshness of the dishes.

​The Service: The hospitality is great, reflecting a true family atmosphere. A special shout-out to their little son, Kelyan, whose service was excellent and made the whole experience even more charming.

​Location Tip: It took us a few minutes to find the spot—it's tucked away in a small hallway right next to Tipo Grill. Look for the small sign!

​Parking Tip: Parking in this neighborhood is difficult. Our best advice is to park in the Super U parking lot or near the main Grand Baie beach and enjoy the short walk over.

A group of us went here for a meetup and had such a lovely time. The atmosphere is very relaxed.

The staff were great, very friendly. And managed to deal with our various requests really well.

Group comments on the food were good. Seeing a stronger coffee option would be great in the future. The portion size was very good, very filling and high-quality food. The dips were also amazing.

The tofu wrap meal and ice tea were excellent! The ice tea had a very special taste -a very happy yet relaxing drink!

And there are lots of very affordable things on the menu, especially if you get a meal deal (your order comes with wedges, salad and ice tea).
