One of the most annoying things about living in Mauritius are the opening (or closing) hours of establishments. Random & usually early, our dear feeders provide little in the way of communicating opening times. Panda is different. I hadn’t returned there since pre Covid in 2019 but it has not changed one bit. While most other eateries in the capital were closed, you can bet that Panda will be open. Mind you, it isn’t the cleanest of establishments, the toilet is barely usable but it makes up for it’s sheer tenacity to remain open. Read moreWent there with my girlfriend on a Saturday and ordered fried Sao Foon Special as well as white rice and Samtung Pork.The Sao Foon came relatively quickly but we found a 6 cm strand of brownish frizzy hair. Both of us got black staight hair. Food got returned and we ordered boiled noodles instead. The portions were smaller than expected for the price. Not going there again. The place needs a fresh coat of paint and better indoors lighting.
