Dalton Gin Bar — Restaurant in Baja California Sur

Came in here on a Sunday night after a wonderful dinner downstairs- we heard the music and liveliness and decided to have an after dinner drink, which was a mistake. 10 staff behind the bar and only 1 taking drink orders conveniently located at the far end of the bar with the dance floor (we were informed of this arrangement after waiting 20 minutes in an open space in front of the bar) Waiters were interspersed in the crowd but stated they could not take orders from us. Immediately after telling us to go to the crammed dance area to order from the one bartender taking orders, an obnoxious American asked the same waiter for a drink and he put it through straight away. We waited over 25 minutes attempting to order from the bar. After my wife was groped trying to order at the end of the bar we decided to leave. Never seem such total...

I have been wanting to go upstairs for years. Finally made it up and the ambiance was phenomenal. The view was amazing. This bar has the look to be a great place to hang out and bring all your friends. The disappointment is that a bar should have good drinks. We had basic margaritas. They were watered down, tasted like salt, terrible mix and highly overpriced. There were 10 bartenders, 2 waiters and 2 hostesses. With that many workers and it being dead, why did it still take 10 minutes to get my horrible drinks. If this place had a good manager getting things in order and having a decent drink for a good price I would go back but I tried it and learned to never recommend it and never go back. Just because a place is upscale doesn't mean it has to have terrible drinks...

We went here on a Thursday evening at sunset. There were incredible views of the church and street below. Drinks were tasty, but my only complaint is for a bar that only has drinks and no food, there should be many more types of special cocktails on the menu. Service was attentive and very good and everyone was so friendly. There were only a few other tables occupied, so I could not say how it would be on a crowded night. The music is not too loud as it seems like it would be from down on the street when you pass by. Some smooth jazz would be more appropriate for...
