EVC (El Vegetariano Coreano) — Restaurant in Baja California Sur

DO NOT MISS OUT! As a foodie and a gourmand I really love finding special eateries that encompass the full experience of a GREAT MEAL: delicious food, kind and attentive service, a unique location; EVC aces every single category! What a find! A true gem in La Paz! Had dinner last night with a friend, the food was beyond YUM, my mouth still waters at the thought of the flavors I tasted, the service was warm and personable, Carlos was a fantastic host, and the location is totally unexpected, in Los Olivos, not the most touristic neighborhood of La Paz, which gives EVC a local nuance even though the food is Korean! MY ABSOLUTE favorite vegetarian restaurant in La Paz, and definitely good enough even for those of you who are carnivores, believe me, you will not miss the beef once you taste what EVC has to offer....

EVC!! They are absolutely delicious. All the food is vegan, but can be made vegetarian if you add eggs. We ordered the bottomless jamaica juice (so delicious! Ginger and lime make it so fresh), the kimbap, the mondu, and the ramen. The mondu (dumplings) were the real show stopper. Cannot rave enough. And the owner is very sweet and customer-centric. We had a great experience. We were the only ones in the restaurant until the end and I cannot fathom why this place isn’t packed every hour it’s open. If you’re in La Paz, what are you even doing if you aren’t eating here?? They are (as of right now) cash only and the owner speaks at least English...

If you’re looking for Korean food look no further! Carlos has got it going 😍 As someone who lived in Korea for five years, this is definitely a taste of Korea in La Paz.

The food you can choose from is different every month (like a monthly menu). We had the dumplings (mandu 8pcs) and we shared one Bibimbap (which we didn’t finish!) and several glasses of amazing Jamaica with cinnamon and ginger 😍😍😍
