First off, George is not only your server (most days), he's also the owner. Very friendly service. Delicioso food! It's basically cooked to order, so there is a little bit of time between ordering and delivery. But, it's more than worth the wait. This is semi gourmet food, well presented, and made with love. There are no combo plates on the menu, all is a la carte. We have tried most of the options on this menu. It's all very good! My personal favorite is the Special Pork Taco, served in a Romaine leaf. We've been here many, many times during the past two winters in BCS. I had been on a mission to find the best margarita on the rocks and my hubby has been on a mission to find the best shrimp tacos, and here we found the winner for both, hands down! We have tried most items on the menu and even the Tampequeña, which was absolutely fantastic. My personal fav are the Chuletazo tacos on corn tortillas and my hubby's fav is the garlic "shrimp to taste" a la plancha, or the chicken fajitas, both also fantastic. The food is made fresh to order, and the lovely husband and wife are a dream team, and this is our regular and favorite Loreto eatery. My wife and I have been in Loreto for 4 weeks and have ate lunch or dinner in many of the local restaurants. We have not had a bad meal yet. However JR'S and George's has been the best restaurant for tacos and real cold beer. The service and the friendliness of the owner, George, has been far superior to the other local restaurants. Most of the other restaurants play local music however George plays great Christian music both in English and Mexican. The music was enlightening in both languages.
