Google Maps has the wrong location for the entrance. It is on the main street. Not the side street where Google tries to direct you. I stopped by about 8:15 on a Friday night. There were only 2 small tables available. Everything else was occupied or reserved. While I was eating people had to wait for a table. Like every place I have been in La Paz the staff was very friendly. I would say they struck the perfect balance between too much and too little attention. The shell for the mushroom Empanada was perfect. It was not too thick or overbearing. There was a good amount of mushrooms etc. The lamb Sandwich was good but could have used a bit more of seasoning, sauce, or something. It was a good size with plenty of meat. I thought the prices were reasonable. Also compared to a lot of the places around they had a good beer and wine selection. Well...
Read moreI’ve been wanting to come here since it opened, but there’s always a wait. Tip: arrive before 6 p.m. on a weeknight. Charming courtyard seating. House cat roaming. Excellent bartender. The menu is mostly pizzas, as well as a handful of salads, empanadas and a couple burgers. On the first visit, we ordered one tuna empanada, which was good but not amazing. Next visit, my friends ordered three flavors of empanadas; we all agreed the celery was the best. The shrimp skewers with bacon and cheese were also very good. You can mix and match pizza flavors, which I highly recommend since there are two pages of flavors. We ordered half sun-dried tomato and half bolognese. The pizzas are very good but a medium-thick crust. I’m more of a thin and crispy gal, but I still enjoyed it. Cocktails were a highlight. They also offer some tasty mocktails. Will...
Read moreSometimes, the best experiences come from simply following your curiosity. On a casual dinner walk from my guesthouse in La Paz, I stumbled upon an incredible mural and decided to check out the place—La Coyota. From the moment I stepped in, I felt the laid-back, welcoming vibe. A cold beer, a perfectly crafted margarita (my first in Mexico!), and the most mouthwatering Hamburguesa Camerone—a shrimp burger like no other—made it an unforgettable find. I kept coming back, drawn by the great food, friendly atmosphere, and its perfect location just two blocks from the Malecón. If you’re ever in La Paz, don’t miss it! I’ve even heard their pizza is the best in town. Go, explore, and let the unexpected become one of your...
