Very atrocious experience. Upon being seated, they handed us the menu, and completetly forgot about us. We had to ask the waitress to take our order. Once that occurred, we thought okay, we'll get our beverages while we wait, nope! We waited 30 minutes! And that's because we asked about them. 40 minutes later, the food had finally arrived. Now, I don't exaggerate about these things and I always give the benefit of the doubt, but my fiancée and myself found pieces of rocks on our food! They mentioned they were going through a renovation but come on, rocks on food? How careless is that! I personally will not be returning and would suggest you to consider another place. It was to the point where even the check to pay took so long to be brought out and again, because people had to remind them. They take both cash and card, and don't have their own parking, but there is plenty of free parking near the business. Side Note: They charge for refills on the...
Read moreThis seems to be one of those places where location is all there is to it. It is on the corner of the "in" area, where tourists flock. Went for late lunch today. First thing first, I used the bathroom, it was disgusting, a true pigsty, the trashcan overfilled with toilet paper, some of it drenched in fresh blood (yes! blood!), so for starters my appetite got crushed by a lack of hygiene. If that is the state of the bathroom, how's the kitchen? The service was ok, not great, not terrible, polite but cold for a country like Mexico, famous for its warmth and great service. And the food. Had a piña/naranja/nopal juice that had no hint of nopal (cactus); had a matcha latte that was a sugary mix without any matcha flavor, I returned it because I can't have sugar, in the end they wanted to charge me for it, and only when I asked for the "boss" to come out and talk to me did the server return to let me know the item would not be charged on my bill; had a "green" omelette that as described on the menu should've had kale and other green goodies, but that was basically filled with zucchini and onions, it wasn't terrible but it was bland. So it feels generous to give them two stars I guess, I only do so because I've had worse.
Fui a comer hoy.
Read moreSo the place itself is quaint and there's tables with shade. All of the waitresses, however, made it clear that they didn't want to really serve us. We smiled and said hello to every one of them and got nothing. We were super confused since that has never happened to us at any of the many places we've eaten while traveling Mexico. Then my husband and I ordered and were told they did not have what we ordered, although it was on the menu. We understand that sometimes restaurants run out of things, but since we felt so unwelcome, I ran across the street to the Azteca restaurant and asked if they had what we wanted. They said yes, so we hopped over. The Azteca restaurants Enmoladas were amazing. As were their chilaquiles verdes. I recommend...
