La Marea — Restaurant in Baja California Sur

I had the pleasure of dining at La Marea in San Jose del Cabo this past weekend, and I must say it was the highlight of my recent trips to the area. This restaurant stands out as the best by far. On my way back from San Jose del Cabo to Cabo San Lucas, I decided to make a stop, and I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional quality of their food.

The culinary journey at La Marea was nothing short of delightful. From the oysters to the Japanese ceviche, tuna carpaccio, the aguachiles, and even the rib eye, every dish was a burst of flavor. My wife and I made the drive from Cabo San Lucas just to indulge in another memorable dinner at La Marea, and I can confidently say that the journey was well worth it.

The Seafood dish is really mediocre here. We ordered Seafood Soup, fish taco, and Catch of the day. The grilled fish is really tough and it's all the same type of fish in the soup and the taco. So I didn't see the point of getting "Catch of the day". You don't get your bang for the buck. Soup is alright, pretty light tomato base and there were plenty of seafood in it.
