Lena was the primary restaurant for the main pool area for drinks, lunch and dinner. I don’t know how you can screw up fish or ribeye tacos in Mexico when you’re charging $27 but they managed to do it every day. The ribeye tacos were stringy grizzly scraps of meat that were over-seasoned and over-cooked and otherwise tasteless. And the drinks are not very good, extremely sweet if you ask for a rum floater and you repeat the exact drink order three times making eye contact they will repeat it back to you and bring something completely different and then charge you for two drinks when they fix it so, so you wind up paying $40 for a piña colada with tip. On one occasion, my son asked them to remake a frozen drink and they took his drink, put it back in the blender. Added ice, blended it some more and put it back in his cup, I just don’t understand how they train people to be Bartender’s. As bad as the lunch was, we had dinner there once and it was the LENA WAS THE WORST MEAL I HAVE EVER HAD IN MEXICO min 30 years… the octopus was rubber, the Cornish game hen was supposed to be prepared in a fricassee style. It was a dried out, roasted and very gamy, really tasteless inedible entrées served with Shishido peppers that had been left on the grill so long they were petrified. The short rib was so also tough and dry and also inedible. We fortunately discovered that you could get sushi from MIO brought over to the main pool on the fourth day and that was very good. That was all we ate in the pool area once we made that find. Vela is an excellent restaurant !! Probably the best meal on Hilton Los Cabos property. Regrettably I did not discover it until later in the week, and they only serve dinner.

This is one of my favorite hotels and pools in the world!!!! I own a place on the property so I’m here at least 3 times a year, sometimes more. The turkey club (thick turkey slices, full chicken breast and 4 full slices of bread) is huge and delicious. It’s enough for 2 people and tastes divine. Their fries are fresh, and the virgin or alcoholic coconut mojito is sooooo delicious. The servers are also superb (especially Braulio) and the pool platform manager (George) make it such a joy to spend the day at the loveliest pool ever… ask for them. Come to the Hilton Los Cabos & enjoy Lena restaurant!!!

Can you guess what type of “sandwich” this is? Probably not, given the lack of meat, but it is in fact an overpriced, turkey “sandwich” with only two razor thin slices of turkey. We paid $22 USD for this item and $10 for a small bottle of water, which wasn’t listed on the menu and was purchased for $2 or less from the local grocery store. Perhaps Hilton should hire someone with common sense to lower their outrageous prices and improve their lackluster food at this horrendous restaurant. Would not recommend Leña to anyone.

Would not do this again. So many issues with this experience. First it’s the pool restaurant by day, with good food/choices but had we known before booking we would have chosen differently, especially since they require a $50 per head deposit. Second, wine…only by the glass no bottle options, small list and mid-grade choices are double the norm. If a short poor glass at. ~$30 per glass is good for you, then this is your spot. Third, our service was subpar. Lastly, food was decent but not good. Ordered 2 different steaks and the sea bass, the ribeye was good the...
