Unbiased and practical review. We used all of our 400,000points for 6 nights at this property. Overall, our experience at the hotel was a mixed bag. The place itself is lovely with plenty to enjoy, but unfortunately, my family wasn’t that lucky. The absence of available pool chairs and towels was an inconvenience, despite promises made to rectify the situation. The quest for pizza became a comedy of errors with multiple waiters offering uncertain responses, only to find the kitchen closing in 1 minute so out request was denied. Despite the staff's friendliness, their willingness to go the extra mile for service seemed limited. The disappointment peaked when the hotel lacked available suite upgrades, despite reaching out(hotel manager Francisco and concierge) prior to arrival as advised. Despite efforts to communicate our expectations, it appeared our requests might have been overlooked or disregarded. The offer of an upgrade for an additional fee felt more like a missed opportunity to acknowledge our Diamond Elite status rather than a genuine effort to enhance our experience. They tell you a well known thing that upgrade is based on availability and offer you to pay from $100-200 for an upgrade. While the setting was pleasant, room service is superb and the staff courteous, the experience fell short of our family needs and expectations, particularly in addressing requests and recognizing loyalty status. We spoke with supervisor L. and she promised to forward our message to a F&B department for resolution… weird. Breakfast is only for two people with availability to upgrade for $15 more per person. Kids full buffet breakfast is $18. Kids over 12 being charged full price. It is our second visit to that property and there is plenty of things to enjoy, however don’t expect much from your Hilton Diamond status. Internet is supper slow and have plenty of dead spots all over the property. Our first choice for dinning was Vela but despite multiple tables were available we have been told all hotel restaurants require a reservation. We tried to explain that we just arrived and kids are hungry but the best offer we got is to wait for 3.5 hours. Another very annoying thing is that recliners were all busy. It was just not enough of it same as towels. Most people reserve it early in a morning and sometimes they don’t even use it till evening. Diamond status is not good enough to have your recliner reserved either. Again, they are all nice and everything we experienced is just me not being lucky, I just wish for money we spent and Diamond status we have this property would listen and go extra mile for us, not us running around and hearing “not available “. The best alternative for more affordable dining would be taking Uber to El Mercado. Multiple guest were complaining about food prices and quality at the hotel. The small 12” pizza is $23-30. Glass of red wine is $25-30 and the bottle around $90-100(not very good one:(). Most cocktails around $16-20 per small plastic cup around the pool. El Mercado’ s prices are half of it. the room service is the best thing about this hotel. The ocean from rooms probably have a better view but the regular garden view is facing the wall of another hotel and the partial view on a second floor is just a pool and bar view. Per manager Francisco it is a paradise. He never followed up on his promise and we never knew if the room upgrade became available on a next night. The weather was nice but sand and beach quality is far away from quality of Hawaii, Cancun or Puerto Rico. We tried to contact concierge twice but she was constantly occupied other customers. Highly recommend hotel management to travel around the word to taste the true paradise experience and learn from it. The hotel is truly 9/10 for family with kids for first visit ONLY and 6/10 if you travel a lot and appreciate attention to details. Sunday brunch is $31 for Diamonds and Gold. Shower head is very low for tall guys. Pressure is not great. Mattress is good. No sauna or steam rooms.

We recently just came back from a 4 night stay here & honestly were so underwhelmed. I’ve never written a review for a hotel before since we usually always stay at a 4 or 5 star hotel & never had any issues, but this hotel deserves one. We booked it after reading all the 5 star reviews. I’ll start with the positive - the hotel is pretty, the views from our room were amazing. The room itself was very spacious (we booked a deluxe king ocean view). We ordered room service a few times & the food came fairly quickly (Food was decent). When we requested housekeeping, they also came fairly quickly which we appreciated. There were 2 men in concierge particularly who were very helpful. One was Gustavo I think who helped book us a private boat tour and I didn’t get the name of the second man, but he helped give us restaurant recommendations. Now to the negatives and why we felt underwhelmed by this 5 star hotel: 1. They don’t have that many restaurants on property to dine in. One of their restaurants (Vela) is only open for dinner and requires reservations. One of their restaurants (Talavera) is closed for dinner on a few nights and never open for lunch. So that really leaves you with only 2 options for lunch (Mio or Lena). Mio was a sushi restaurant which we weren’t really into, so Lena was our only option. We decided to eat at Lena for lunch for the first 2 days. The first day, there were SO MANY FLIES literally EVERYWHERE. We asked a waitstaff if they can turn the fans on over us but they said it rained last week and no one fixed the fans. The next day we went back and sat at a different location, but same issue - flies literally everywhere. I’ve never seen a hotel with so many flies ever in my life and I’ve stayed at a few dozen hotels just in the last 5 years alone. After that, we just started ordering room service to get away from the flies. 2. Speaking of flies, their pools also had dead flies inside of it. We took our son to the family pool by the slide and so many dead flies we had to come out. It was disgusting and filthy. Google won’t let me upload the video 3. 2 out of the 3 towels we picked up for the pool had brown stains on it. It was such a turn off. Thankfully we packed a towel from home just for our son because we never have him use hotel towels so we just used his instead of the ones from the hotel. 4. This “con” is more of a personal issue than a hotel issue, but it was always so quiet by the pool. I get it’s a vacation and some people like the quiet but I’ve been to so many vacations in the tropics and carribean and never have I been to a hotel where it’s quiet by the pool. No music almost ever. It felt so awkward to us that we could hear literally every conversation. Also there was no entertainment by the pool either. Is that just an all inclusive thing? 5. In contrast to being quiet in the pool, it was always loud outside our rooms. The walls are so thin I could literally hear everyone walking by and what they are saying. One night I heard 2 women with their heels going back and forth and talking so loudly I had to open the door and ask if the room across ours was their room and they said yes they had to wait for someone to change the battery of their door. I told them oh okay because my son is sleeping and they lowered their voices thankfully. 6. They don’t give you water unless housekeeping comes to clean your room and even then it’s just 2 bottles a day, which is okay whatever. But one day we didn’t have housekeeping come yet and we went to front desk to ask for water and they didn’t have any and told us to go to the bar. According to their room service menu, water is $6 and is supposed to be part of the “mini bar”. Our fridge was empty so I’m not sure where the “mini bar” pricing comes in. The views from the property and beach access unfortunately do not overshadow the negatives for us so we won’t be coming back to stay at this property.

My review of Hilton Los Cabos There are many nice things one could say about this hotel. It’s in a beautiful location, perched high on a bluff overlooking the Cortez Sea, with several very attractive swimming pools and nice landscaping. George was very nice. We appreciated him. There are some things about this experience, though, which left me perplexed and somewhat distraught. The views are lovely and I like the swimming pools. There are, however, things that are incredibly annoying about this place that you should be aware of before you book. Number one, they have a “premium membership” that’s not cheap. We didn’t know anything about it. You pretty much need this membership in order to be treated like a normal human being. What do I mean by that? You may be thinking that sounds rather harsh, but it’s not. Consider how you envision yourself when you think of yourself in Mexico, at an oceanside resort, with lovely pools. Do you see yourself you in a poolside lounger with a cocktail in your hand? Because if you do, in your fantasy, you are in for a rude surprise once you actually get to the Hilton. You will be shocked to find that the loungers may all be completely reserved not only for the day you arrive, but for several days thereafter as well. Why? Because this hotel has the unbelievably stupid policy of allowing some people to reserve lounge chairs in advance for the entire day, or indeed, multiple days, whether they use them or not. Imagine my frustration at being told that many of the vacant loungers were actually reserved. I watched several loungers be unoccupied for most of the day. And if you haven’t reserved one in advance, well tough unless of course, as I was reminded several times, you pay extra for their premium status. Any chairs that are not reserved an advance are first come first served. I got up on a Sunday morning at 6:30am and was shocked to find that there were people who had already been sent out by their families or friends to reserve chairs. There was one guy who had put one piece of clothing on each of 10 chairs to reserve them for his friends. (See photos below…) He looked like he’d been there most of the night holding down the fort. Not my idea of a relaxing vacation. More like a Cabo version of Lord of the flies. But enough about lounge chairs now to another chair problem - one we’re all very familiar with that’s located in the privacy of our bathroom. Unless, of course you imagine your toilet in the middle of the living room surrounded by your family and friends. Well, that’s not literally true, of course, but given the openness of the toilet to the room, and the echoing construction of the surrounding walls, it certainly feels that way. I never thought somebody could design a bathroom stall to actually make going to the bathroom a louder-than-real-life experience, but they managed to do it. Fortunately, it did prove that my girlfriend really does love me. Too many refried beans at the taco stand? Your whole family‘s going to know all about it. But hey, isn’t that what vacation’s for? To get closer to family? One more thing. When we did go to the hotel desk to ask for help with reservations and things like that, they literally tried to sell us a timeshare. Gah. I won’t be back. If you go have fun. Just stay away from the beans and expect to pay more than the cost of the room if you want to sit on something other than the concrete pool deck when you go to the pool.

Reviews of Hilton Los Cabos Beach & Golf Resort

We stayed at Hilton Los Cabos Beach & Golf Resort for 7 days in July.||I don't want to waste too much time on this review, so I'll summarize. (I need to cut my losses, at this point).||||NOTICE that this is NOT written by an AI. Unlike the management's responses to people that simply are disregarding of peoples' reviews, and are attempts at shamless advertising.||||TL;DR -- Hilton Los Cabos Beach & Golf Resort is below Hilton standards and definitely not a 5-star experience. It is very overpriced for what it is. It is "wannabee." ||||Here are just a few of the reasons why we will not be back:||||-- Communication with the Hilton team on premises is abysmal. Just booking was a disaster. Multiple mistakes, multiple people involved; I had to invest hours of my time just to get the reservation correct (dates, times, airport transportation, etc.). Pro-tip: CONFIRM EVERYTHING. Everything. E.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g. MULTIPLE times. And then again. CC multiple people of the team (at least 3). When you get a response that everything is settled, be sure to reply and confirm the details all over again. Also ask them to verify all the details, even after they say it's all confirmed. Do this 1 month (or more) in advance, 1 week in advance, 3 days in advance, and then the evening before you arrive. ||||-- Breakfast is hit-or-miss. Definitely not worth the $60 they charge. Looks good in pics, but preparation varies greatly from day to day. Pro-tip: If you buy breakfast, be sure to ask your server for special requests. Simple things, such as "Can I get a full avocado sliced, please?" Those basic things are considered "premium" and aren't found at the buffet.||||-- tipping is a huge mess. Some servers got mad at us and commented (one of us understands Spanish...) that we didn't leave a tip on the check. BUT it's already 15% tipping on top of the $60 breakfast (for example). Our take-away from this is that the servers don't know that customers are paying 15% more for tips already, so perhaps they are not receiving that money. In any case, we still tipped servers via cash, directly, when they were good (and most of them were). Pro-tip: The service workers are trying to make an income to live, so when they are good please tip them; don't cheap out on them, because they may or may not see the $$$ that Hilton takes from you automatically.||||-- Mini fridge (this is for the mini bar that comes with the room and is refilled daily) does not get cold enough. No way to adjust. And... (see next comment). Pro-tip: read below on how to get "one ahead."||||-- Beverages stocked in the mini fridge are warm. Pro-tip -- Bring a huge trash bag with you and fill it up at the ice machine every evening/morning and put your beverages in there. Pro-tip #2 -- If you don't drink your beers/sodas, take them out and hide them in a drawer so the fridge will be refilled while you are gone. Then, when you get back, put them in your bag of ice so keep them cold (see pro-tip about ice, below). This way, you're "one ahead" all the time. ||||-- the room A/C is abysmal. The room never gets cold. The fan runs all day and night and is loud, but the room doesn't cool down. The thermostat might be just for decorative or psychological manipulation. Pro-tip: If you want a cool room, don't even think of coming during summer. ||||-- Talking to customer service on-site via text messaging is also a disaster. You start a question, and then minutes later somebody else takes over to answer it. And then another person, etc. No continuity. Pro-tip: Don't give up. Persistence! Have grit. Although it feels like you could be texting into a black hole, some of the people will eventually solve your problem.||||-- In the middle of our stay they thought we had checked out, and that we were now new people in the room. (My countless hours trying to assure that the reservation was made correctly still didn't work, obviously). Pro-tip: Text them every evening to tell them that you will be there the next day. Pro-tip: You should actually hope for this to happen to you, as annoying as it sounds. If there's a welcoming gift, you'll get two of them. ||||-- welcoming gift = bottle of mezcal. Oh, it was 50mL, I'm not complaining, but really?... Pro-tip: Bring your own big bottle of mezcal and other beverages from the grocery store on the way in.||||-- Smack next to the edge of the infinity pool and seating at one of the restaurants is a group of loud and non-stop running A/C units. That entire area is contaminated by noise. Pro-tip: Go down to the ocean to avoid noise. Even the adult pool has noise coming from the property next door.||||-- Lounge chairs at beach are comfortable, but lack the backs don't lift up at a high enough angle. You are half-way lying and half-way sitting at best. Pro-tip: Don't stay at the Hilton, but at the place next door. It has nice chairs which are right at the cove.||||-- Alcoholic drinks, in general, are abysmal. A margarita is worse than a bad lemonade with zero alcohol taste in it whatsoever (and no noticeable effect on the body). Pro-tip: Stop at the store and bring your own alcohol with you. ||||-- coffee service -- was set up for every morning, yet some mornings it didn't come. Pro-tip: text them every evening to remind them, and every morning as well.||||-- elevators are very stuffy and very slow and very hot; no air circulation in them. This might sound petty when you read it now, but when you are there and it's hot, you'll understand... Pro-tip: take the stairs (also not air conditioned), but at least you won't feel like a trapped animal.||||-- the water shut off twice during our week-long stay. Pro-tip: wash the soap out of your eyes first in case the water shuts off on you.||||-- the worst part? -- the shower water pressure is the lowest I've seen in my entire life. Pro Tip: Because you are on vacation, plan to spend an hour to shower (literally) and bring a bluetooth speaker to play music when you wash yourself under the drizzle.||||-- late checkout? It was confirmed but we were locked out of our room when we came back from outside. It was hot. We had to wait in the hot hallway for 20 minutes for somebody to let us in (no A/C). More communication breakdown and bad logistics. Pro-tip: If you have late checkout, don't leave your room because you might get locked out. Watch Netflix for your last hours on vacation.||||-- Overall, I basically felt like I was "at work" and not on vacation. ||||It's a shame that management and operations are so bad at Hilton Los Cabos Beach & Golf Resort. The physical property...

No sauna or...

We had the pleasure of staying here from 6.19 to 6.22. Sadly we were not able to stay longer as there was a total buy out and they were sold out and we had to check into the Grand Fiesta Americana. Anyhow I have to say this Hilton is sooo niceee...We stayed in room 3022 and we had a beautiful ocean front room with two bathrooms, a kitchen, sofa as well as two balconies that faced the ocean. The views were incredible at all different hours. The room was clean, spacious and very modern. I love the blackout shades, the sheer curtain which is all press button and the sofa and table to work and gaze out looking at the ocean.

I have to recognize the following people Griselda our housekeeper, Cesar at Vela Italian restaurant, Paty at the kids club and Gumaro at the bell desk. Griselda organized the hell out of our room we had just checked in and I didn't get a chance to fully unpack and she was so kind to organize my toiletries and some of my clothes nice and neat. Not to mention put my jewelry away nicely and folded up the cords. Kudos to her for a job well done.

Paty in the kids club for being so professional and such a sweetheart for taking care of my son while in the kids clubs. Wish we used it more because he had a lot of fun but she remembered his name as well as mine. They do different activities for the kids here and my son had a blast.

Gumaro at the bell desk for helping us with directions, places to go, transportation, providing us with assistance with luggage and taking our photos.

Lastly Cesar at Vela for accommodating my picky and extra self with my dishes. He made sure I was happy and made sure everything was to my liking. Very thankful.

Okay so on to the resort let's talk about all the AMAZING things here and the Bad.

The Gym. The gym was modern up to date and had a bit of everything, free weights, squats, cardio, treadmills, exercise bikes. They had an attendant always wiping down the machines and they were very kind.

The Pool okay let's talk about the Poools. They had a swim up bar, infinity pools and Jacuzzis. I personally loved coming at night when it was empty and having the pool all to myself. The jacuzzi was warm and so perfect overlooking the ocean. I liked the other family pool where it was more private and empty near the kids club.

Kids club this was really nice to have. Very clean and great people working here. They also have a Starbucks and convenient store.

The resort itself...The grounds, the beach the fire tent and the cabanas as well as the cabanas on the beach you can rent. So beautiful. The grounds are well kept and maintained. The staff is very friendly.

The bar when you first enter is really nice, lots of seating and I have to say they make some nice drinks. The mojito I ordered was probably the best I ever had.

My only cons is that it would have been nice to have better food options and more restaurants with a variety of food. Also, would have been nice to have better control of the flies and mosquitos. I got bit so many times and have welts on my legs which isn't fun. Also, when dining would be nice to have something to control the flies so they stay away especially when dining outdoors and near water which is a breeding ground. We ate outside the hotel and they had something to keep the flies away would be nice to have this here also.

They have a breakfast buffet which also offers a la carte options the breakfast wasn't bad but $35 a little pricey especially for someone who doesn't eat a lot. The Vela Italian restaurant was good, the steakhouse wasn't my favorite and the other restaurant that offers lunch nachos, pizza, sandwiches the chicken on the nachos was kinda bland as well as the guacamole. Could have done better. Also the $6.00 price tag on waters for boxed waters was outrageous.

All in all I would recommend and would come back without a doubt. Would totally come with my girlfriends and make a trip out here again. Felt very safe and the staff was wonderful. Glad to be a Diamond Member...
