Restaurante San José "el pisito" — Restaurant in Baja California Sur

"As real as it gets" as far as everyday traditional mexican cuisine goes. It's like a traditional "fondita" scsled up to the size of a restaurant while maintaining the feel of a homie place. The food is delicious, prices are fair (for Cabo at least), and portions are generous. The staff is nice and friendly. I'm only keeping from 5 stars because I ordered to-go and the order took significantly longer to make, and then there was a milanesa missing, and they had to go make it just then, but then it was ready in like 5 min, which goes to show they can actually run an order fast when they need to, but I digress. I only had the chilaquiles, which were great (chicken with red sauce), but the milanesa looked amazing, and I hear the quesabirria is otherworldly.

Zulema have now officially moved from the Mercado Municipal to a location half a block away from the eastern entrance of the Mercado. It is much more spacious, airy, bright and same good old food and familiar faces. Definitely recommend it as a easy and fast eating place. The music is not to be appreciated but, You can also ask to lower it, nobody there...

Wow oh wow. Just the lettuce on the side of my chicken flautas was the best lettuce I've ever had. The beans super fresh home made, the salsas are incredible.

If you are visiting from US and want the best tacos, flautas or quesberria this place is it!
