Loncheria Sonia — Restaurant in Baja California Sur

Do not eat here (Loncheria Sonia).

They do not have a menu with prices, they basically charge you on how you look.

Markets are usually cheaper a across Mexico, I thought this was going to be the case but, oh boy! I was wrong.

In Loncheria Sonia we got charged $400 pesos for two basic dishes and two drinks.

Service took way too long and we were only 2 people in the table.

I asked for a pozole with an specific meat and they brought something else so I had to return it for them to fix it.

When we asked for the ticket they mentioned a price, they came back with less change and surprisingly increased the price.

We were not happy at all with the overall service, do not come and if you do, it is a MUST to ask prices...

Stay away. First off, they don't have a menu for you to see or compare prices. I specifically asked if they had hot cakes and they said yes, only to have the hotcakes take 20 mins being made across the hall by another Loncheria. Seemed like they some sort of issue amongst themselves which made it incredibly uncomfortable. The entire experience was very unfortunate and to make matters worse the check came up to double what I had paid the day before for the same plates at the Loncheria across the hall. Gave them 1 star because there's no option...

We have eaten here several times. This an open air spot attached to the Mercado. There are several loncherias here and they will swarm to compete with each other to get you to set at the table in front of their loncheria. Habits are what they are and we just sit at Sonia's. All their menus are similar. The food has always been good. We came this morning to get some chilaquiles rojos con huevos. Delicious. Stop by and...
