DO NOT GO HERE! We had an absolutely awful experience tonight. We came for a birthday dinner with a 6:00 PM reservation, and by 8:51 PM, we were still waiting for the bill—and some of our family had just finally received their meals. Food came out in completely random order: side dishes before mains, meals staggered across the table, and not one staff member seemed to know what was going on. We brought our concerns to the owner, manager, and two waiters, only to be told it’s “family style,” so the food comes out at different times. Meanwhile, the owner’s family of eight—who arrived after us—were served and finished their meal before we even got halfway through ours. Two other tables that ordered after us were also served before us.
And it somehow got worse.
As we waited outside for our Ubers, one of the owners, Chef Guillermo J. Gomez, aggressively approached us. When we asked if he was the owner, he repeatedly snapped, “WHAT IS YOUR QUESTION?” He accused us of refusing our food and demanded we pay for “compensations” that his own staff had offered to us. The total lack of communication among the team was shocking. His tone was hostile and completely inappropriate, especially when speaking to paying customers who had just endured a three-hour dinner disaster.
To top it off, he demanded we leave a positive review—which is honestly laughable. His attitude completely erased the small efforts his team made to try and salvage our experience. If I could give less than 1...

Starting with the delightfully refreshing welcome drink at the Bar Buho, built around a beautiful guamuchil tree, we were able to relax and enjoy the inviting atmosphere, which became even more magical as the sun set and the moon ascended. The menu was arranged by ‘methods’ of cooking and included a variety of salads (the beet and radish salad was my favorite- still can’t identify the wonderful vinaigrette), side dishes, and mains. The complimentary fresh bread, served with an onion and potato puree that was addicting, was so delicious that we had to order more! We shared plates and sampled perfectly seasoned pork, green beans and bok choy salad, a salted fish entree that was carved out tableside, and finished up with a decadent chocolate lava cake. Really it has been one of the most memorable experiences I had, every single detail the restaurant includes has been curated specifically for the costumers. At the entrance you perceive a very well trained professional staff, they’re not regular staff that only receive guests and seat them, since the arrival they await for you and treat you as the most valuable costumer. The food recommendation of the staff comes with a detailed orientation of the dishes, explained by detail including important facts of how everything is made and what can you expect about your food, it’s important to notice that they’re always attentive at your experience during the dinner and last but not least the taste of the food is a carnival in your mouth.
