We had dinner at this restaurant last night after an evening enjoying the Thursday night Art District evening out. It's nicely located right on Plaza Mijares on the north side of the plaza. The music was a little loud for our family but that's ok. The decor is great. We ordered the catch of the day on tostada which was great, and that's where the accolades end. The rest of our dinner was awful. We assumed since Cabo is surrounded by water that the sushi would be great, but boy were we wrong. The sushi wasn't fresh at all, and is probably the worst sushi I've had in years. The sushi rice was not properly cooked nor properly assembled. Half the roll (the specialty roll of the night) was rice, and it was so packed in, it had the consistency of nougat... tightly packed, dense and tasteless. My boys ordered Wonton Ramen. Only to find that there were no noodles. The wontons themselves were even good. The wonton weren't even real... it was like they took the prior night's leftover fried dumplings and added it to a really salty, dark broth and called it wonton Ramen. Overall very disappointing. The servers were fine; it wasn't their fault at all. Overall, a disappointing evening that I wish I could take back since there are so many better restaurants a block or so...
Read moreI used to love going here. We have a condo nearby. I no longer can recommend it to my renters. It is insane to charge 350-400 pesos for a half a glass ( that. Is all they pour) of Pinot Grigio that retails for $15 at the store. And 300 pesos for a Sapporo ? The service was quite strange when we went. Super indifferent. The ramen broth was good but overall super plain with just some soggy chicken and no vegetables. The tuna nigiri fresh though. There are so many better choices in town but this is right on the square which is nice to watch the energy outside. I own a restaurant and get it things are getting expensive. I am fine paying for quality but I guess felt let down as Tei was so good last time .. despite the $15 sapporos which was bizarre. We knew that was on us not looking at price. However the thimble size $24 glass of inexpensive Pinot Grigio was just robbery. Sorry Tei I am seeing other reviews and please pull...
Read moreFunky atmosphere with fake cherry blossoms and grass on the ceiling but enjoyable meal and excellent service from Javier who was super friendly and spoke excellent English. The sushi was decent, and the catch-of-the-day fish is always the best way to go. The classic sashimi mackerel was fabulous. And the side of pickled peppers was good on everything. We were a little concerned at the beginning that they were burning really pungent incense when we came in…made us feel like they were trying to come up a bad smell of something. At our request they moved it and the rest of our meal was really good and there was nothing to worry about. Would...
