Drago Cevicheria & Sushi Bar — Restaurant in Baja California

Summary: place has a good vibe, staff is friendly and attentive and best of all food was phenomenal!

So, I’ve been watching this place be built for the past few months and was excited to see it was finely open. The first thing that drew my attention is the modern upscale look. I was enthusiastically greeted by the hostess and shown to a booth. They brought out some tostadas that were made from corn blue corn and I believe beats. This allowed me to sample the three in-house chilies all of which were very flavorful. However, I enjoyed the habanero on the most. The manager Guillermo came out and introduced himself, as well as, help translate (Spanish is not my first language). After looking the menu over, decided to try the Sofy roll and the Aguachile especial spicy. starting with the Agua Chile all of the flavors blended perfectly, and there was just the right amount of spice. I tried it with each of the different tostadas and preferred it with the blue corn. However, they were all good. When I was about halfway through with the Aguachile, they brought out my the roll. The rice to meat ratio was spot on and there was a great crunch to it. I chose to dip it in soy sauce and Wassabi. However, it didn’t need it. So to conclude, I think I may have found my new favorite restaurant in Tj, and I’m looking forward to trying more...

I'm sitting here now Just enjoyed some very very good ceviche. I have my reservations about leaving a outstanding review because it'll be inundated by ugly Americans. Please behave when you come here. Excellent food. The way it staff don't sit around when there's no customers they're cleaning. They even have a flies zapper in the back of the restaurant. I sat under the air conditioning unit on this very hot day and had an excellent dish of ceviche. I will be back for sure. They have artisanal beer on tap presently the places empty!! 3:40 p.m. . I came to Drago to try their sushi. Waiting time once order was placed was about 10 - 15 mins. Staff if very friendly and helpful. Drago has plenty of staff so waiting to be served/accommodated was no issue. my server "Irving" was really helpful with some of the questions I had with the menu. Kenneth (second server) was also very helpful in suggesting my second drink. Ana, lobby host was also kind enough to allow me charge my dying phone.
