This second floor brewery / pizzeria is centrally located in El Centro de Tijuana (downtown TJ) steps away from popular Avenida Revolución. At night, the times I've gone, it's almost easy to miss the entrance if it weren't for the music and general ambiance of a pretty happening place coming from above the sidewalk area. As you climb the stairs, you're greeted to art along the walls and the very top, the large shiny beer tanks typically showcased at breweries. They have a rotated selection of about 10 veryy cold beers on tap if I had to recall. On Wednesday nights, they have a 2 for 1 special of their delicious "artisan" thin crust pizza. Amazing value as that turns out to be about 2 pizzas for 5 dollars! They are about 8" across which puts them right in the middle of personal pan and medium sizes. I'm an eater and can hold my own, one will do the job for me. Carb overload! We sat in the outside balcony area which has a pretty cool view of the lower street. Remember that in Mexico, you are still allowed to smoke cigarettes at local facilities so just be mindful of that. We sat next to a table of smokers, all good for just one night. All in all the experience was great. I recommend this place to anyone wanting a place to chill and get carbed up while having beers and pizza. Don't mind...
Read moreI was really excited to come t this place and it was the first stop on my wife and I's zona central brewery stop. Most of the beers served here are their own. They also have the typical Mexican beers here as well.
I ordered a Belgian dubbel, high alcohol content to get the juices flowing. It was smooth with the caramel notes and caramel color. Just how I like 'em. The wife ordered a DIPA as per the usual. The traditional hop strong west coast IPA. They have a wide range of beers here.
Inside the place is humongous. With 2 big rooms that can easily hold parties of 35-40 people each. Outside there is an upstairs patio that is pet friendly and smoking friendly. It was great being able to have a beer and lookout onto the city from here as a breeze rushes through the open patio.
Service here is so so. Well at least server pouring the beers was. She was pretty bland, non emotional, without even cracking a smile, or even a fake one at that.
P.S. food is served here, but we did...
Read moreOne of the best bars in town. Great food Menu with a great variety to choose from. I must say that the cooks do a great job. I have tried pizzas, sandwiches, hamburgers, everything is great. My personal favorite, La chonchita or chonchita, I don't remember but it's great. Now let's talk about beer. The beer selection is great. Great variety of craft beer, something they have been doing for some year now, and they are well known for that. I used to be a craft beer guy but nowadays I enjoy more a simple old fashioned bottled beer, which they also have a great variety. The place is big, you can get confortable at the terrace, with a nice view of Calle 3ra, or if it's kinda chilly, you can be inside. Always clean, people always friendly, food and beers are great. Overall a...
