Came here for the first time for a late lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Service was impeccable and it was very crowded and popular for a Sunday afternoon, which I took as a good sign. Had a really great vibe to it. The restaurant smelled liked wood fire, yum. Coming from California, there was a gated parking lot right out front the restaurant (they validate). The food, specifically the steaks were outstanding, which is not too surprising for an Argentinian steak house. They had a great selection of cuts and options. The shared plancha of assorted meats looked really interesting and like a good value for a table to share and taste lots of things. I will probably try that next time I go. The meat empanadas were the best empanadas I've had anywhere (including in Argentina). The spinach ones were good too. They have a wonderful wine list, including some great wine from both Argentina and the Valle De Guadalupe. We definitely enjoyed ourselves with the wine. Ask for a tour of the wine cellar, they've got some cool stuff in there! Only downside to the meal was the caesar salad was pretty boring. I think they could learn a thing or two from some of their Tijuana restaurant peers and do a beautiful table side caesar. They have the staff to do it and it would be much more delicious than what was served. The dressing left a lot to be desired. So, all that said, the restaurant is not cheap. I would say it was comparable to a steakhouse north of the border. The thing it has going for it is the Argentinian steak preparation. They know how to grill and season...
ย ย ย Read moreHorrible experience! Our bill should have been about $150, but they overcharged us almost $450.
We ordered various steaks (ie. rib eye, arrechera, etc) for the listed prices listed on the menu, but when we received our check, the prices of the steaks we ordered were three times (that's right 3x) the prices listed on the menu. When I asked to speak to the manager, they said we had to pay it or the police would be called to extort more money from us. I will never take anyone to this establishment again, and I want to WARN anyone thinking about going to this place to take 3x the money they think they will need to pay for it or else be extorted for even more. All we wanted was a nice dinner to relax and enjoy the evening, but what we got was a nightmare experience at a horror restaurant. So many other places to go in tj, avoid this place, especially for special occasions with clients and family. You will be shocked with the scam they are running and the extra charges they put on your bill for otherwise...
ย ย ย Read moreI ate there with my wife on 5/4/2021. We had a reservation. When we arrived, I was surprised how little parking was available between the three major restaurants, especially on a Tuesday night. This restaurant is really more of a 4.8 rating, but I rounded up to 5 Stars. It was very busy inside. Clean and modern feeling. Difficult to hear with so many people in the restaurant talking. We had drinks, appetizers, entrees and dessert. We left there extremely full. Service was very good, but not exceptional. The food was delicious, but not exceptional. You are at the mercy of whatever cuts of steaks they have available. I don't recall hearing any music at all. The bathroom needed some cleaning attention, but wasn't disgusting. A nice romantic dinner for two, will cost you about $260 USD, +/-, depending on drinks. Overall, we were together and enjoyed our evening, which was all that mattered. I would recommend, and someday, we will probably return after trying some other...
