Awesome little brewery on Avenida Revolución I'm Downtown TJ! This spot is right on the corner and it has a super chill vibe with indoor and outdoor patios. There is a bouncer at the door to monitor the crowd but the wait isn't long.

The beers happen to be pretty good. I ordered a 16 oz La Lupulosa ($90 MXN) apparently a dark IPA, but to me it tasted more like a stout. Nonetheless, tasty. Wifey ordered the traditional hazy IPA ($90 MXN) which she enjoyed. There is also food here, but since we were going elsewhere for dinner we didn't get to try it.

If you don't consume their food you cannot order any beer⛔❌😒 👎🏻so we decided about the beer as soon as we arrived but when we saw the menu,the waitress told us that from the 5 options on the menu we could only have 2 options because they didn't have any more ingredients😑, so anyways, we ordered Quesabirria 3 pieces for $85 pesos (about) and guess what? They didn't have cheese 😕, so goodbye quesabirria! Next and last option was some sort of twisted potatoes. The worst thing ever!! 😫 it was 2 pounds of salt with potatoes 🤮🤮🤮 ... We will never ever come back again to this...

Nice small tap room in downtown Tijuana, home of many iconic beers from Mexico. Insurgente is one of the oldest breweries in Tijuana and the nation, they know their craft and put out really good batches all the time. Sadly the food here is sub par, as of late July 2023 the kitchen here is lacking flavour and options. Quimerico (restaurant in charge of the kitchen) needs to step up their gastronomic game.
