Never thought of a jazz club in downtown TJ but the experience was awesome.  Doors open at 730pm and I suggest making a reservation for a table for it to be easier.  However, there are seats at the bar but it's first come first serve. Door cover is $150 MXN pesos and it's worth it.

The fun starts about 9pm when they trio starts to play and from then on it's just 90 min of jazz high energy jazz music.  One caveat though, it does get a bit loud.

The ambiance is intimate, the drinks are excellent and there is a food menu with hamburgers, Pizza, and salads.  I ordered two Mezcal based drinks (Mingus Rey and Naked and Famous both $190 Mxn each) which were stupendous with a perfect amount of sweet, bitter, and smokey Mezcal. The bartender takes lots of pride in making cocktails and it shows.

If you're a jazz lover or just want a night out on the town that is a bit more laid back than the usual "club" then this...

Sweet little [almost/feels like] underground hole in the wall serving up jazz classics. Full bar with decent and very reasonably priced bottled and draft beer, wine, and mixed drinks. Pub food items available and served at your table. Attentive, though few, service staff [how do they do it and manage to keep everyone's orders correct and served so quickly?] know how to keep you happy. Jazz band we saw got better as time [and drinks] went by [thanks for the tip piano guy 😉]. Friday and Saturday has live music from 8pm-2am! You won't be disappointed as these musicians know their jazz classics like the pros...

Excellent service! Yesterday we celebrated my husband’s birthday and we had a great time. The staff was so responsive and attentive. My husband didn’t pay cover charge for his birthday and we even got complimentary shots on the house! The ambiance at Tijuana Jazz Club was classy, romantic, and relaxing. The wine we had from Lomita Winery in Ensenada was great! And last but not least, the band that played called “Rooftop” killed it! We will definitely be coming back to this spot!
