The place gets a ten for their decor. Very pretty. The waiters need to learn restaurant etiquette. Also, I guess we were lucky...walked right in considering they have very poor reviews on reservations. During our meal, we were surrounded as if we were going to run off with the bill (not in a good way at all). They literally surrounded us. One was dressed like he was a manager (he was wearing a suit) to my right, another literally behind me and yet another to my left...they looked VERY UNHAPPY. The waiter looked as though if he cracked a smile , he was going to be written up. No one ever greeted us when we walked into the place or even said thank you when we left nor goodbye or anything. Just so weird for being such a nice place esthetically; but the food was very reasonably priced; It was more like a tapas place though and even though it had a lot of Mexico decor, it did not have any rice or beans on the menu. the drinks looked pretty though no one at our table ordered any alcoholic beverages. I should have ordered a steak, they looked pretty good but they really need to spruce up the menu. I ordered the salmon and it was good. When we received the bill, we paid cash and the waiter couldn’t pick up the cash fast enough hovering over (did not even ask if we needed change back) they were also like that about the plates about picking them up too fast that it made you so uncomfortable; when asking for a beverage, they’d bring you a mini size bottle, the ones you’d find in a mini bar in a hotel. In the beginning they bring you a lot of different salsas with three little crackers. 🤔. No mini spoons in the salsas so it made me wonder if they thought we were going to be double dipping or what was their logic in the sauces and how we were going to be sharing them in our food if that was the case. I would have much preferred chips with the salsas because their portion sizes are very small. We had to keep...
Read moreLorenza Restaurant in Tijuana is a culinary gem that truly delivers an unforgettable dining experience. From the moment we stepped in, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome and attended to our every need with genuine warmth and charm.
One of the highlights was the personalized drink service at our table, setting the tone for the evening. The Tuna ceviche was a burst of flavors, delicately spiced to perfection. The Short rib appetizer with fresh tortillas and a variety of salsas was a tantalizing introduction to the meal.
The main courses were nothing short of exceptional. My husband savored the steak tacos, while my daughter relished the perfectly seasoned flank steak accompanied by delectable french fries. My sea-bass, adorned with fresh herbs and veggies, was a culinary delight suggested by our attentive waiter.
And then came the "churo cake"... a dessert that exceeded expectations. Its taste lingered long after the last bite, leaving us craving more. The ambiance of the restaurant was captivating, with chic decor that set the stage for an exquisite dining affair. The portrait of the woman behind the bar in the dining room was a mesmerizing touch.
The only thing that could have improved this experience would be if they offered beds after the meal - that's how much we indulged! Lorenza Restaurant undoubtedly deserves a five-star rating for their exceptional food, impeccable service, and remarkable ambiance. We are eagerly looking forward to our next visit, anticipating another outstanding...
