Mantequilla — Restaurant in Baja California

Came here on a whim and it was fine. They have most of their Covid guidelines on point however we noticed their manager with the name of Rocha was walking around without a mask. Good job there. Anyway onto the food. I ordered the chilaquiles Chipotle with sunny side up eggs and my girlfriend had the eggs Benedict. Her eggs Benedict were cold for some reason but tasted fine, same with her potatoes but it all tasted good. My chilaquiles were on point well made, creamy, and the black beans were very well made. We weren't given spoons to stir our coffee until we asked for it (we failed to notice the plastic spoons) and all the cutlery was in plastic. Next up, the parking, it's terrible as of our visit on sep 25 2020 the street is undergoing repairs and it's a pain finding anything and the valets for the restaurant weren't in their posts until the 3rd time we circled the area. Overall I would visit again but only if my favorites...

Honestly I was expecting a lot from this place since a lot of friends recommended it. For starters when I got sat at the table they didn’t offer me a drink or water, I had to call a waiter to ask for the drinks menu (that was about 20 min after i arrived) and never got the drink i ordered, i was forced ask another waiter for black coffee or whatever drink was the quickest. The food was very disappointing, flavorless, and insipid. We were served by 3 different waiters and ir was obvious they lacked any communication.

The place is nice, I liked the decoration and the atmosphere, although the music was very loud.

I do not understand the hype this place has, I will not...

Ordered a meal with chilaquiles, red ànd green, had 1 egg, splash of black beàns and a mimosa. Oh ànd à plate with 1 slice of toast. Red chilaquiles were decent but the green ones weren't, sauce was soo bitter I couldn't eat it. I expected more from this plàce since it was highly recommended to me. Was my birthday and wanted something special for breakfast. Service was very good, he was very on point and attentive. The atmosphere, well music was a bit loud and that I don't mind, The funny thing was, it was a Christmas song. Like I said maybe I expected more from this plàce since it was highly recommended. But, we aren't interested...
