Hi. I've been coming to this establishment for years now. I am not proud of eating out but it saves us time and every now and then, money. I really like the concept, but the execution has seen better times, and can see better moments in its somewhat foreseeable future, for vegan enthusiasts, or just plain old gourmet dining and the sort. Well I can't particularly complain about what makes their meals a great accommodation for just about all dietary styles regimens and such. Well as you will know, I have been eating a plant based diet for a while. Several years, I am now 30. I intend to make healthy choices and never size people up or cut them down for their habits and customs. That being said I've had grand experiences in several of their locations! (Playas de Tijuana, Hipodromo) I always enjoy their preparations although its happened 3 times in a row now, and quite frankly is unacceptable by my standards, since last night's order, desert, burger lunches hummus and stuff, was supposed to be vegan! Well on my Cambray potatos, drizzled in cashew "cheddar" vegan cheese, was a fragment of fried chicken that passed through and once I was able to taste it and spit a bit of a chunk out....(gross!), I realized what it was. The unmistakable flavor of fried chicken, which alot of us have eaten before making a transition to a non animal based diet, and I immediately knew. Which raised MANY questions about their ethics, hygiene and sense of morality. They have a business model based on some sort of "inclusive" dish variety that is supposed to cater to most people in the demographic for more conscious consumption of food services, and yes. I am to blame for not cooking the meals myself, which I almost always do, but on the occasion that I decide to go out for a culinary stroll, I wish not to be disrespected to this degree. I spend good money at these premises and I have had YEARS conserving my sometimes strict and rigorous standards only to go to a place where they mess up on THAT level. This is the third time, albeit, the last few times were years ago, though set months apart from each other, save this recent instance. They're getting careless and sloppy! I am extremely tolerant but this I cannot allow to go unspoken. I will not be visiting this restaurant any further. BE WARNED IF YOU ARE PLANT BASED THEY MAY COMPROMISE YOUR MEAL OR FRY THINGS IN OILS WHERE ANIMAL PRODUCTS WERE ALSO FRIED! Dont come here! Not worth the price or the meals themselves! Inspiracion 9, La hoja Verde, La Flor De La Vida, Eggplant, Bhumi, The now gone Tury's, These places in Tijuana truly keep their peace and total respect for your boundaries while being scrumptious! Stop supporting these other...
The location of the green soul is very good, since it is located in a very central part of the city, very busy definitely and in an area difficult to find, by itself, for our fortune. The restaurant is decorated with wooden finishes inside, mixed with some plants on the walls and multiple designs. The architecture is very accessible for people with disabilities, however, so that it can go through a small step, which is inconvenient for people in the wheelchair, on the other hand. It is a very good detail. The service is very good, the food arrives hot and fast at your table. The food is very bite, you can find options for people who eat meat, vegetarians and vegans, this is based on food diversity that translates into a restaurant in a perfect group. The place is usually crowded, it is seen in a large group that it is necessary to make a reservation, however, when there are few people who get a very fast table. The place is not very noisy, just as the ceiling and the sound inside the place is not so loud, nor is there live music, but it is also a good place to talk with others. This restaurant is a very diverse place, you can find people of all ages, it is casual and popular with young people, in addition to the diversity of their food. The place is very accessible for people with disabilities because the tables lend themselves well to modify and accommodate wheelchairs, however, the entries are not...
Read moreWe stopped by Alma Verde after running some errands to have a light breakfast. The restaurant is modern in appearance and features wood tones and simple wood chairs and tables in the dining room. We ordered a Dulce de Leche Latte and a special citrus hot tea to drink. I ordered Avocado Toast which comes on sourdough bread with hummus and my partner ordered a Quinoa Hash Brown dish to eat. Both of the drinks were served in beautiful coffee mugs and tasted amazing. I had to control myself because I could have easily drank it down quickly and ordered more. The Avocado Toast had a large serving of avocado served on top of the hummus ok the sourdough break. It was delicious and I would definitely order it again. My partner felt the same about the hash browns. Service at the restaurant was both friendly and efficient in nature. All employees appeared to be working hard and smiled often at diners. Parking was by valet only unless you want to drive around the area and look for street parking which can be difficult to find. We really enjoyed our time at Alma Verde and...
