Iff you are able to legally cross the borders safely and would love to have a great day this is one off the many venues available just like playas de tijuana El mercado Hidalgo has diverse shopping opportunities it has restaurants food courts varaiety store such as pinatas leather good exp belts shoes tool toys food (andales) Coco water pina.s mangos cacaguates fresh cutting and peeled nopals among many vegetables fruit and treats a great place to see a small portion of Mexico. Represented in their products are foods wandering Mariachi's music qiosk and low fee parking subsidised by the business there . Just get your parking validated after any purchases and Dave as you exit the sellers are friendly and border sharp ask them iff you have any questions about your purchase being able to legally cross to the USA they will tell you like it is after...

This place was is always busy regardless of social distancing. Have your cash ready, some retailers accept card, but just to be sure carry cash and change. There is parking available for a fee, there are restrooms available for a fee. There are places to eat. This place offers different types of antojitos. You can find various types of moles, herbs for medicinal purposes, teas, Mexican mortars, Mexican candy, piñatas, Theres a local that offers Deimp2 food coloring, flavor and essence, good for people who make jello or aguas frescas. Theres this naturista you find any type of herb at a very cheap price. Theres this small paleteria close to el sol store their agua de fresa is so good, so refreshing definitely I HIGHLY RECOMMEND🤤👍. This place is a must visit if you are in the area. Similar to what we know as a Tianguis, la pulga,...

Loved this market. Quite a few duplicate type stores but loved seeing the bulk goods of veggies, peanuts, candy and others I can't recall. It was certainly a feast for the eyes if one needs to abstain from solid food following surgery.

Was slightly disappointed that wasn't able to find any Day of the dead type things but I suppose that ONLY comes out for 11/2.

My travel companion read that this was a market where locals do their grocery shopping and that seems apt. It was nice to be off the beaten path and out the tourist section. I didn't feel pressured to spend anywhere.

Saw the biggest bottles of hot sauce I've ever seen and had to take a picture. Would have bought some if not having to deal with TSA and only having a stuffed carry on case that wouldn't allow for...
