Argentina Burger — Restaurant in Cancún

Like some others have noted, the place is a bit of a challenge to find, in a run down area that appears to have never recovered from the last hurricane back in 2005. The owner(?) was nice. He greeted us, took our orders and got to cooking. These burgers are essentially cooked on a standard BBQ grill (Nexgrill) like you’d get at a big box store. They were double, large in size, but definitely had a super funky texture and taste, as if mixed meats maybe cut with bread crumbs? Did NOT taste like beef! Not very appetizing whatsoever. We couldn’t finish them because they were so odd tasting. The bun was way too soft and fell apart. I think it could have been grilled/roasted a bit more but still wouldn’t make up for the meat. The fries were standard frozen, crinkle cut fries that unfortunately were way too undercooked and not a very generous portion for the price paid. Signage on the door indicated a free corona with combo purchase, but when asked was told “no beer”? The condiment bottles (especially the ranch dressing) looked like they had been sitting out all day and caked on, dried ranch dressing was evident around the lid. Loved this place...the man that runs it cooks food to order and seemingly with love. Unfortunately the texture of the meat was off...while my burger was huge and yummy I found it hard to finish. I very much enjoyed the churipan (sausage roll) This was full of flavor and cheaper menu item. I was also annoyed that I was charged 75 pesos for a small bottle of the cheapest water. This would normally sell for 20 pesos tops at a convenience store. Even in fancy restaurants only 55 pesos. When I questioned the chief about this he simply came back with bill showing the same price in dollars. Bring your own...

I shared jalapeno burger with husband (they are huge as already mentioned in comments) and I can say burger is very rich in ingredients - big meats, a lot of guac and jalapenos etc. I appreciate that a lot.
