Las Tostadillas Del Mar Ruta Nader — Restaurant in Cancún

Do not eat here. I had a really terrible experience with both the food and the service.

Firstly, no one served us for more than 30 minutes after arrival. I had to walk up to serval waitstaff many times and beg them to take our order. Then the food was sloppy and average and left me starving! The 95 pesos “sopa” was just liquid and 4 prawns. The birra fish taco was just a big scoop of sauce on a plate that was inedible. No cutlery to eat it with either. There were also side salads and limes in the restaurant we were supposed to be told about to eat with the plain tacos but no one bothered mentioning this to us.

When i politely complained to a waitress and asked for the birra to be taken off the bill, she argued with me for 15 + mins saying because i “ate half” i have to pay for it. Yes, i of course attempted to eat it and then realised it was awful tasting and texture. I’ve never heard of someone arguing about trying their food?? I tried to give feedback to the manager before leaving this review but they were not there when i went to pay. A real shame! I heard that all the all-inclusive hotels are taking away from local business but when we wanted to give our time and money to a local restaurant we were...

5🌟 - must stop in Cancún for delicious fish and seafood tacos and tostadas, attentive staff and affordable prices!

This was our first restaurant in Mexico and, after a two week trip across several cities, we had to come back once more because it was simply one of the best. The tuna tostadas are to DIE FOR! Same goes for pescado taco (with perfectly fried tempura), the shrimp and pescado tostadas and the guacamole (so fresh!!!).

I cannot recommend this place enough. If you want to taste several delicious local tacos and tostadas, this is the place for you. Each taco/tostada is less than 1.5€!! The sauces are also amazing, but remember that small sized bottle means spicy 🌶️

They also have a large variety of local drinks - their água frescas are delicious!!! - and cocktails. You can have 1l of any cocktail for a less than 7€. Enjoy!!! We can’t wait to be back.

After reading other comments, I must share that we were always served super quickly (we went three times at different hours, both during the week and weekends). For us, the food never took longer than 10 mins to arrive and always came...

I really recommend for people looking for authentic Mexican food. We went there twice during our stay, we just love it.

The quality of the food, the fact it is home made, the look of the food, and most importantly the taste of it are just fantastic. And be aware that you cannot find this kind of food for that price in the hotel zone, everything will be more expensive and less authentic.

First time, we ate a lot for 15 USD (total including tip for 2 people) but only got one appetizer, 3 tacos each and no cocktail. If you are going there you might spend less than 20 USD for 2 people.

Second time, we were more hungry and hadn’t eaten for lunch to enjoy more. For less than 30 USD (we were still 2) we couldn’t finish what we had ordered, the quantities are amazing: we had 2 appetizers (guacamole and calamari, actually a big quantity of both), and 4 tacos both. We also both had incredible cocktails. All of that for less than 30 dollars total, including the tip and the cocktails!!!
