Here’s a "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly" style review for your visit to Lindo Oaxaca Café:
The Good: Lindo Oaxaca Café offers a unique and lively atmosphere. During my visit, there was a live radio show happening, which was both interesting and amazing to experience. The food was delicious, and the coffee was perfectly balanced—nothing too overpowering, just a delightful cup of café de olla.
The prices were very reasonable, and overall, I had no complaints.
The Bad: Honestly, there wasn’t much to critique during this visit. Everything met or exceeded expectations, from the ambiance to the service and the food quality.
The Ugly: There was nothing “ugly” about this experience—it was thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish.
Overall: Lindo Oaxaca Café is a fantastic spot with great food, excellent coffee, and an enjoyable vibe. I’d definitely come back again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique...
Read moreI love Oaxacan food and this was some of the best I've tried. Absolutely incredible meal. The mole negro was so rich and complex, with perfectly juicy tender chicken. Everything seasoned richly, balanced, perfect. From the creamy frijoles negros to the table salsas. We were the only gringos in the place and we were welcomed warmly and had some lovely Spanglish chats with a fellow diner and his adorable young son. The staff were so sweet and attentive. Sad I was only in Cancun one night, as I'd definitely be a repeat guest if I were in town longer.
We ordered: Queso fundido con chapulines. Lovely cheese, nutty bugs, and lush tortillas that tasted so fresh.
Mole Negro (pollo). Unbelievably complex and rich. They care so much about flavour at this restaurant!
Chiles rellenos con queso. Beautiful mildly spicy chiles, perfect texture batter, and the MOST DELICIOUS beans and rice. Every element on the plate was so perfectly...
Read moreIf you want to experience a typical Sunday Mexican Family Restaurant, I highly recommend you visit on Sunday. They have a solo singer and you see families sing along. The sad news is their plates are not true to a real Oaxacan meal. I ordered Enmoladas con Cecina and was not served Cecina. They put carne enchilada which is so so different. I reviewed the fotos before visiting and saw it was real cecina and even showed the waitress the image. I know for a fact that carne enchilada is less expensive then real cecina. They have no Oaxacan beer, few Mexican beer. The AC didn't work very well that Sunday. I...
