We had a lovely dinner here on New Year’s Eve and were very appreciative to be able to order from the regular menu rather then a heavily marked up price fixed situation. As always with Ruth Chris chain, the food was delicious and dependable. Steak was cooked to perfection. Wedge salad split for two appeared like two full salads. Mashed potatoes and lobster mac and cheese were great, especially left over the next day. Although all the tables are inside, which may give pause during covid, all the wait staff wore masks, the tables were all spaced far apart, and protocols like sanitizing customer hands upon entry were followed, and alas we rather enjoyed the air conditioning. It was a bit odd that some customers were wearing cut off jean shorts, flip flops and bra tops for a fine dining experience, which we do not agree with or let our children dress like that, but it did not spoil our night. After a week of going to overpriced disco palaces masquerading as fine dining, we really enjoyed our mellow experience with delicious food and...
Read moreWe were in Cancun for a 62nd birthday trip for my dad and ate at Ruth’s Chris at 9 pm on February 11, 2020. There were two large groups (20+) being extremely loud, and our waiter kept apologizing. It was a group whose company sent them down and they were fall-down drunk. It was rock concert noisy in there.
I would have expected more decorum/better behavior in a nice restaurant, especially when traveling as a business group. In the USA, they would have been told to keep it down and summarily kicked out. Bur, it was Cancun and they were there to have a good time.
I had never been to a Ruth’s Chris before, and was blown away by the amazing food! I could eat the bread every day for the rest of my life. The petite sirloin was to die for, and dessert was beyond delicious!
As an apology for the noise, which he did not owe us (but the group of drunks did), the manager comped all the desserts for our group of 5. Top-notch...
Read moreRuth's Chris is always the Right Choice for me! And at this restaurant in Cancun it was the right decision, again. The service was well done on all fronts. Our main server was Limbert Pool who was extraordinarily attentive. Jorge was a nice assistant. And Guillermo rounded out this service with his delightful conversation. The ambiance was very calming which was made even more attractive by the silent waterfall. But, what took "the cake" was the excellent meal! The crab cake stuffed mushrooms were a nice start and the finishing touches were the Creme Brulee topped with fresh fruit and a dessert dish topped with whipped cream. However, "the icing on the cake" was the Petite Filet which we both enjoyed alongwith our with different vegetables. I can hardly wait to return to celebrate another special occasion. A return trip is a must!!! What a sweet experience. Thank you, Ruth's Chris Steak...
