I wonder if “it’s time to pull the pork” has ever been said by headquarters when an undercover cop’s cover gets blown. I also wonder why despite its name, pulled pork is so good at bringing people together.
These are the musings that sauntered through my mind, as I sat in a semi-enchanted state whilst post burrito at Achiote. Similar to how Zeus took on many different animal guises to impregnate humans whilst siring Ancient Greek heroes, this place does one thing (pulled pork if you haven’t guessed) in various different forms. Instead of Achilles, Asclepius, and Aeneas however, we have tortitas, tacos, and burritos. I will leave you to be the judge of which is more impactful after you visit this delightful place.
Perhaps, I will birth my own half pig demigod once this meal has passed through me, as the only explanation for the ravaging satiety engendered by this meal could be that the cook was a deity attempting to inseminate me.

The gordita is small, but it's on a very fresh, warm, thick, two-tone corn tortilla, with cream, queso, and pickled red onions.
