El Burro Loco — Restaurant in El Tezal

Sadly the food we ordered was really disappointing. The chicken in the quesadillas was very dry and overcooked, or possibly reheated a number of times. Either way, it wasn't good at all. The pork burrito looked delicious on the plate but inside the pork were tough, overcooked little cubes ... again possibly reheated a number of times. On the positive side, the owner and staff were very friendly. They didn't have guacamole on the menu but made it fresh for us. Very good. And the owner gave us 2 small bowls of a type of tomato and noodle soup before we got our mains. We've had so much excellent Mexican food in cheap little eateries that it builds up an expectation. Sadly, El Burro Loco fell short...

We needed to stop at Walmart when we arrived in Cabo but were famished so we found El Burro Loco accidentally. We expected a fast food experience but were incredibly surprised and pleased! Giant burritos for the kids that were super tasty, ceviche that was delicious, and fish tacos that did not disappoint. Even better, they served a delicious soup to begin! Price was about $35USD which was a steal for what we enjoyed. Definitely a place we will return to when a Walmart...

I've been to this place twice now. The open air restaurant in the mall is an excellent value and really great tasting food. They have a lunch special that is very reasonably priced and comes with a free drink, chips and salsa. The staff is super friendly and they serve you at your table which is a nice touch.
