We have stayed at this resort for the last 8 years prior that we have stayed the last 15 years further down at the Sheridan. We have always enjoyed the Estancia for its location, the rooms, the property, the staff and the distance to downtown. Sadly the last two visits the service has not been great to the point if you're NOT a home owner I might caution you on staying at this property because there is a clear difference on how you are treated at this property mostly by the pool staff and lets face it that is where you are going to spend the vast majority of your time!! I am speaking from experience when I say the following points I have 8 years of renting at this property and I have witnessed and been personally treated differently than the HO. Also let me say this last trip we had 3 rooms so our money was well spent on 3 different owners so I don't think we should have been treated the way we were by any means!!!! There is a total discrepancy on saving chairs! We witnessed 2 separate groups saving 7 and 9 chairs starting at 6:30 am 1 person from each group for their entire group and their members wouldn't arrive sometimes for 3 to 4 hours later and that was never an issue, yet when we wanted to go to the beach for 1 hour we were told we must be back in an hour otherwise our chairs would be given up!! We had music on so low you could only hear we were told to turn it off, yet the very next day another group had music on and they were allowed to keep theirs on?? Again HO vs Renter? Manuel one of the servers walked right past us several times and completely refused to serve us to the point we finally just went over and ordered our own drinks and food BUT the problem is it doesn't matter they can be the rudest, worse server ever and they still get a 15% tip regardless it's written into the check automatically!! I do want to give a shout out to Diego he was amazing! Excellent service always had a smile and was super friendly and that says a lot after what we had been experiencing. 4.This was the icing on the cake. We were scheduled for 2 maid services so the day she was there to clean we happened to be in our room...she goes to the master bathroom first puts on her purple gloves proceeds to clean the toilet first then goes to the counter and cleans it with the same purple gloves on she had just cleaned the toilet then she proceeds to the kitchen to wash whatever dishes we had out AND wipes down the counter WITH the SAME purple gloves she cleaned the toilets with and uses the towel to wipe everything down with what she had used in the bathroom:( by then I had seen enough and finally said you have to leave because I have to sanitize my entire room with Lysol wipes - Gross - disgusting!! I don't have enough words to describe how sick I was. 5.Checking out on one of the rooms they tried to add a deep room clean fee which first wasn't even suppose to have a room fee on it let alone a DEEP room clean! Then on one of the other rooms they tried to add a room service charge on for the last night which we weren't even in the room as we had all gone out to dinner. The deep room they refused to remove and the room charge they did remove because we had proof none of us were there! May be time to go back to Lands End a...
Read moreMy wife and I celebrated our 10-year anniversary at Villa La Estancia in Cabo San Lucas, and it was truly unforgettable from the moment we arrived. This review is long overdue and as a former Ritz Carlton leader I assure you you will not be dissappinted...
We were greeted immediately as we stepped off the bus, and the warm welcome set the tone for our stay. The property is immaculate — clean, inviting, and filled with a welcoming energy that instantly makes you feel at home.
Our upgraded beach-view room was incredible. The staff went above and beyond by surprising us with chocolate-covered strawberries, balloons, and a “Happy Anniversary” display on our bed. The room included complimentary snacks, free room service, and every detail — from the linens to the comfort of the bed — reflected the quality of a true five-star property.
The pools were equally impressive. With access to all three resorts, we enjoyed everything from the fun waterslide at Villa Palmar to the swim-up bar and cocktail service at La Estancia, which became my favorite for its more relaxed vibe. Each pool was flawless in its own way.
The dining was on another level compared to most all-inclusive experiences. We enjoyed fresh breakfasts with house-made specialties, multiple chef stations, and juices that tasted like they were made moments before. Dinners were even more special — from Neptune’s seafood on the water to a steakhouse experience at La Casona that rivaled other five-star restaurants we’ve dined at. But the highlight was our private multi-course meal on the beach — a curated experience that will forever stand out as one of our most memorable dining moments.
The service was outstanding throughout. From Olivia and Diana’s thoughtful pre-planning assistance to every staff member we met, there was always a genuine smile and a true spirit of hospitality. We felt cared for at every step of the journey. Many meals even came with thoughtful anniversary acknowledgments — without us needing to mention it again after arrival.
Our “wow moment” was without a doubt the private dining experience on the beach. It was romantic, personalized, and absolutely unforgettable.
We would recommend Villa La Estancia to couples and families seeking a luxurious yet welcoming atmosphere. It’s not the spot for bachelor parties or a rowdy crowd, but it’s perfect for relaxation, celebration, and making memories. We are already looking forward to coming back — next time with...
Read moreThis is our second stay in just a few months. Initially we had reserved to stay elsewhere, however when speaking to another company called Cabo Memories to arrange pick up from the airport Joe asked us questions such as if we are big partiers and drinkers. We explained that we want a place to relax not a lot of noise, good food. He instantly recommended Villa La Estancia. He did mention that it is more expensive than the previous one that I had reserved but there is no problems with theft or drunk people. It was a great recommendation. The staff on both occasions that we have stayed have been wonderful. If ever you encounter a problem they quickly take action to resolve the issue. Our room on both occasions is a one room ocean facing suite with a pull out couch. The size is large with two full bathrooms a kitchen with an island and a balcony. The units are very well kept. Recently a hurricane had come through and they have been repainting and completing touch work. They complete this work without any inconvenience to those staying at the facility. Even with this work being done the faculty remains excellent in appearance. For those who do not want to go off the resort you have several restaurants as well as pool side service available. The location is great and is directly on the beach and very close to swimmable beach. If you like a walk, it is just 3/4 of a mile to walk into town and is a easy walk. Staying at Estancia allows for us to visit its sister resorts of the Del Arco and Del Palmar which are to each side on the Estancia. The Del Palmar offers a different mini musical each evening such as Grease, Mamma Mia, Greatest Showman, Michael Jackson. Dinner is also provided. The shows are approximately 40 minutes long. We recommend the Estancia for those want a great relaxing time around respectful people. It is not a party resort with white nights, neon light nights, or foam parties, so those looking for that activity may be best served looking elsewhere. This luxury resort is one more suited toward receiving a relaxed vacation with great amenities to include a gym that allows for you to get...
