Best dish we ate were the beef tacos and seafood stew. Thought we would try something new and ordered the mocajete which appeared on the menu as a super sampler plate but were we wrong! It came out in a huge sizzling pestle overflowing with grilled octopus, shrimp, mini crabs, deep fried quesadilla and empanada all covered with cheese and soaking in some type of chili-seasoned oil. It looked amazing at first but once we started pulling it apart we quickly realized how much of the oil really soaked into everything which was really too much. The mini crabs were really only for show at there was barely any meat and the quesadilla and empanada were literally dripping in oil. About a third of the octopus was charred beyond edible. The shrimp was the best of this dish. Probably best for at least 4 people to eat it more quickly without the oil getting too soaked.
There was also a real mix-up (perhaps bait and switch) with my margarita. I ordered the premium (240p) but it came out in a really small glass barely 200 mL but was advertised as 500 mL. I told the server and he said I was served the wrong size and he asked which tequila I wanted and I mentioned a top shelf brand which I wasn't asked when I originally ordered. But, a huge mug arrived which was tasty but then the check showed 540p! I mentioned to the server about the price difference and he kept insisting that I ordered the premium in a big size! I didn't want to ruin the evening arguing over the price so I let it go but be careful and I recommend sticking to beer. Also, out rest super hot inside despite all the fans blowing and flies we're still not discouraged by the fans or little table spinner. Service...
Read moreStaying right up road at hotel, came by right after arriving in Cabo since it was close. It took 5 minutes to get a menu....then after wife ordered salad, the "waiter" was called over to find out where the toppings were? Oh you have to go over to the toppings bar....well where is it my wife says...then he takes her over there. The shrimp cerviche she said was not cooked correctly. Shrimp pieces should be pink not "white"...they were raw! And then they brought it back after complaining,....it was still raw??? I ordered fish.....it took 15 minutes to get the order, Oh it was taking a while "cooked fresh".....Ha! when I recieve it it was hot on outside skin, but still frozen underneath.....that was it! Won't eat here, they just throw things together not checking if cooked or not. By the way it was 12:30pm...2 other customers there and they that slow and incompetant.....Don't eat there unless you just order a drink....but.....they mess...
Read moreEl Pasañito is truly a gem for seafood lovers, and easily one of my favorite places in Cabo. The freshness of the seafood is unbeatable, and the prices are fantastic for the quality and portions they offer. A must-try is their La Greñuda tostada — it’s packed with an incredible mix of crab, octopus, shrimp (both cooked and raw), scallops, tuna, and a fried onion on top, all drizzled with a to-die-for ajonjoli sauce. The flavor explosion is like no other!
Their aguachiles are equally impressive, generously portioned and perfectly balanced in flavors, with everything being super fresh. To top off the meal, don’t miss their corn flan (flan de elote) — it's the perfect sweet finish to a fantastic meal.
Whether you decide to eat there or take it to go and enjoy it on the beach, El Pasañito is a must-visit. It’s a great spot for fresh, delicious seafood at a great price — highly...
