Can’t rave enough about the staff at Rustico. Our daughter was here NYEve and told us how much she enjoyed the meal and people so we thought we’d try it.

We were greeted by two super nice staff members. I’m sure I’m killing their names but I think the girl was Angus and the guy was Amu. My apologies if I have your names wrong. They are the best servers I’ve encountered in a long time. They were friendly, outgoing and super efficient. Their helper was a younger female who was efficient and sweet.

We scored an outdoor table without a reservation and got to enjoy the evening breeze. Out table neighbors were a sweet young couple with their adorable 7 mo baby from Netherlands. Great convo had by all.

The bartender is to be commended for his door on perfect extra dirty martini with mottled olives. Great twist on a favorite! Caesar salad was great! Dressing was creamy but homemade. My husband throughly enjoyed his Short Rib dinner and kept commenting on how much meat was served. My Coconut Shrimp were huge and flavorful served w rice and julienned veggies. My only meh was the sauce that’s normally sweet…it wasn’t sweet enough to play off the shrimp so I requested honey to take it up a notch and it was perfect.

No dessert for us as we were walking down to Cafe Aroma for our nightly coffee. 100% try this place. It’s a bit pricey but certainly worth the month. Total quality...

Immediately, yes! We delayed our ferry ride back to Cancun in order to have dinner here, next time we will stay on Isla Mujeres so we can eat here often❣️let’s start with the greeting from Mauri, it was warm and welcoming! Next, the drinks, they were impeccable from the passion fruit mojito for our 15 year old to the spicy margarita, the strawberry daquiri, and the highlight was a custom smoky fusion of a specialty cocktail but substitute whiskey 🥃💨! Serious kudos to the bartender. Then our server, Agus (sp?)who was fantastic🫶, intuitive, knowledgeable, efficient, and professional, but all the while delightful and funny. The place is magical at night, the vibe is just right 🙌. The aesthetic is clean, warm, and very hip, but without pretense. For the main, our food was superb; cooked perfectly, balanced flavors, served with excellent timing. New restaurant for us as it just opened a couple of months ago.Thought we would give it a try and it did not disappoint. Food was awesome, drinks were wonderful, and the staff were so attentive and lovely. Also, the music was not overpowering, and we got to listen to a musician play soft guitar to some background music which was at the right level. (my husband doesn’t like loud music while he eats) Shout out to Pablo who was a great server with all the right recommendations!
