This restaurant was beautiful, the atmosphere was amazing at night with the live music. The food was also great however the only reason for the lower rating was because of the service from the waitress, estanfania, I think I got the spelling wrong.Service was subpar at best after getting my food, I had to go to her and ask for pepper. All she really did was take our orders and bring the food out. However when it was time to pay, I had a couple pesos in my bag and I wanted change so that I could tip her, when she said they can’t give me change.. I’m assuming so I could give her the pesos bill but I also just wanted to tip the performers. I then gave her a coin, to which she wouldn’t take complaining that it’s too small of a tip and we have to do better but she didn’t deserve a bigger tip respectfully. And then she proceeded to hound us till we tipped her 10% on the card. We agreed on 10% on the entire bill however she got excited I’m assuming and proceeded to take 10% from each of us. Which I'm thinking she took more than 10% now because our bill separately came up to 20 however our final bill receipt came out to 28, so she gave herself $8. She took $8, from both of our bills separately. She was so excited that she pulled this off that she almost forgot my card in the machine and I had to remind the other lady and her my card is in the machine, please take it out. Which is unbelievable, I rarely write reviews and complain however this service from her was unbelievable. I’m 100% certain she saw an opportunity to bulldoze two young girl and she was successful. The whole experience after that just left a bad taste in my mouth. If you can avoid this waitress please do or the restaurant needs to teach her this is not ok.please be weary of these waitress here. They can ruin the entire experience and obviously a lot of the other...
Read moreWe walked around and around eagerly hoping to visit this spot. After leaving a review, we learned the location of the venue changed but Google Maps and Trip Advisor had not updated the location from the owner. I was really excited to try their tacos. We will seek out the new location next time we visit Isla and update our review.
UPDATED: We were able to visit. They are located midway down the walkway from their old location. They are near Rooster so I used that as my guide. We enjoyed our fried fish snapper but I have to admit I’ve had better. The rice was hard, almost as if it was undercooked. The guacamole was okay definitely fresh both items but much lacked seasoning. We enjoyed our drinks which were 2x1. The flies are ruthless but I’ve experienced them in all types of tropical environments like Maldives and Tanzania. So I can’t fault the restaurant but they did make us speed up our lunch despite the fans that were going around the venue. The server was awesome - very friendly and super attentive. I would come back but try the lobster tacos and a drink rather than the fish. Still looking for good fried fish on Isla Mujeres.
I wish I could give them a 3.5.
I hope you find this review helpful. If so, please give me a thumbs...
Read moreYou gotta come here!!!! The people are amazing and so is the food. So the great thing is we were looking for a parking spot (for the golf cart) and one of the bartenders came out and helped us. While this was great we're sitting and ordering our drinks and he comes by with my husband's phone. My husband had dropped it getting out of the golf cart and did not notice. This alone was sick a huge act of kindness that I just fell in love with the place. All the servers were helpful and funny. We got lucky and got the list few minutes of happy hour. I got the strawberry and mango daiquiris, both were good but that mango was my favorite. This is the day mu daughter fell in love with Tuna Tostadas, and after tasting a bit of hers I could see why. My husband devoured the fish tacos which were excellent. I had the most delicious stuffed peppers ever, which has now ruined me for the future. Cooked perfectly with a delicious dipping sauce and stuffed with a yummy duo of cheeses. Top notch guacamole. At the end of the day my husband said for the price hands down his favorite place we visited...
