I do not even know where to begin with this review, as this was such an incredible hotel!
First location.... The hotel is like a small boutique hotel, located a 2 minute walk from Playa Norte. There is a small store across the street, restaurants around you, plus perfect distance, to all of the activity, on Playa Norte. You are a 4 minute walk to Hidalgo.
Upon entering through the main doorway, you are instantly greeted by a beautiful, zen oasis with complete serenity and tranquility.
We were greeted by Alexander upon our arrival. Alexander has a great personality, a friendly smile and right there to answer any questions, or offer suggestions, in order to provide you, with the best vacation experience possible. I can not say enough wonderful things about Alexander.
The rooms are clean and spacious, as well as beautifully appointed, in vibrant Mexican colors, with eye catching artwork. We had a full sized refrigerator, a cooking burner, as well as, all of the necessary kitchen implements needed. There was a dining room table, microwave, flat screen TV with cable and a couch and sitting area. The beds and sheets were extremely comfortable and the bathroom area was very large and spacious. They also have free Wifi.
There was daily maid service, with some of the most creative towel animals I've ever seen. It was our anniversary and upon arrival to our room, there were 2 beautiful swans as well as a heart made out of flower petals by our bed. You can also receive a clean beach towel every day, which were soft and huge.
The hotel provides 2 free sodas daily, as well as your choice of 2 water bottles or the large water jug in your room. Great touch after a hot day at the beach.
There is a pool and hot tub area, which are also very nice. There is onsite massages as well as facials offered.
On Playa Norte, the hotel has a deal with the Green Demon Beach Club. If you are staying at the hotel, if you spend 400 pesos, your bed and umbrella rental are free. We went there almost every day. Really close, great spot.
This was such an outstanding experience, we can't wait to return next year. I really didn't want to share this... but it is definitely a review well deserved. It's a...
Read moreMy wife and I were lucky enough to stumble across this hotel on the last day of our Isla vacation in Nov 2017.
We were taking one last walk at Playa Norte (one of the most amazing beaches we have ever experienced) before heading to the ferry back to Cancun / the airport and happened to come across the Paradise Suites entryway a few minutes away from the beach.
We were both drawn into the grounds by the unique landscaping, rustic buildings, and fantastic pool. We couldn't believe this paradise was only a 3-minute walk away from the busiest beach on the island.
We met with David and he showed us around the grounds. The hotel is comprised of a handful of suites ranging from 1 bedrooms to 1 bedrooms + kitchen/seating area and larger suites with dedicated space to for eating, working (if you must), and relaxing. All suites have a lovely patio space.
What we loved most about the hotel was it's proximity to the beach, restaurants (there is one on the property and 5+ more right across the street) and the main strip of the island is a 5-minute walk away. More than the proximity we loved the fact that it was quiet! The beach can get busy and the thought of being able to escape back to the room in 5 minutes sounded perfect for us.
All this to say, we booked a return vacation to celebrate my 40th birthday at the hotel in February 2018 within a few days of being back home. The team was very responsive via email answered all of our questions.
We're here now and I can confirm. We made the right decision!
If you're looking for a clean, quiet, stunning hotel with all the extras Paradise Suites should be at the top of your list.
The suites, grounds, amenities (pool, hot tub, gym, wifi), staff, and location are all excellent.
Thank you again to David and the Paradise Suites team for your amazing hospitality!
We can't wait...
Read moreThe Positives||Management - The biggest asset this property has is Alex, the manager. Her customer service is impeccable. She goes out of her way to be helpful and you'd think she was trained at an upscale property. I was not a fan of my room and she showed me two others and it was "her pleasure."||||Location - If you want a property that is walkable to Playa Norte and downtown, here you go. There is a coffee shop next door and it is across the street from Snappers. You really don't need a golf cart unless you plan to head toward Punta Sur a couple of times.||||Suite - You have a TV with cable and a kitchenette. There is a back patio (without chairs) where you can hang up wet suits.||||The Negatives||If you read my other reviews, you'll see that they are positive. Because I felt so violated by the value here, I write...||||Landscaping - The pictures that they publish give you resort vibes and this is not even close to that. Our room looked out over possibly a black water, huge container. With the amount of space that was not occupied by rooms, there was a huge opportunity for beautiful Mexican landscaping that people expect in both simple and more elaborate hotels. It was basically sand with sparse plants. Even if the hotel is not trying to be "fancy," I feel like I could have had a more forgiving attitude about it with great landscaping to compliment the interesting sculptures.||||Value- If I had paid maybe $150/night, I wouldn't be complaining, but it was double that. This is not beachfront, it's near the beach, so I don't think that they can get away with this twice for most guests. This is a far cry from a "boutique hotel" by any standards. It's basic. Perhaps the frustrating part is that at the $300+ rate, they have some incoming coming in with that many rooms but not investing in the quality of...
