BEST fish filet entree so far up and down Quintana Roo! I know, it doesn't look promising from the outside! Hear me out- For survey purposes, over the past 3 weeks I have repeatedly order the fish filet entree with garlic that you can find in almost any seafood restaurant all over Holbox, Playa del Carmen, Tulum and even in Huatulco. Surprisingly this tourist trap looking joint delivered the best combo of taste and value. If you don't want to feel like you never left America with the music videos on blast or karaoke after 8pm in the downstairs main dining area, opt for the second floor where they play live Spanish music. They use bass for the fish, slightly charred and perfectly flaky unlike grouper that some other restaurants used. Garlic flavour definitely came through. Even the side veggies are well-seasoned yet simple. Rice was on the soggy side but it's not why I ordered this dish so no points lost there. Generous portion but not heavy! Great for lunch or dinner. I can keep going... Service is on par with the rest of island, staff speaks good English as well. Not sure if they take credit cards. I've learned to always plan to pay with cash on the island.

We had an amazing brunch here. The seafood and vegetables were fresh and seasoned to perfection. Do order from their specials section which did not disappoint. My husband is vegetarian and their menu is well labeled with multiple vegetarian items. He gave high compliments regarding his veggie burrito. I loved every bite of my squid entree. If you like spicy, do ask for their habanero sauce. This region is know for the habanero sauce and this place and the best version. Pretty sure they make it in house. I also swung in the swings while waiting for my food, so 5 star on relaxing ambiance and service as well.

We came by during happy hour and ordered 2 margaritas. The cocktails tasted really good (we did not order any food that’s why we only rate drinks). Service was a little bit confused - first we had to tell them that their advertising promotes the current happy hour. The waiter was convinced that it’s already over. Second we asked to pay per card. The waiter reacted super strange und we had to discuss a little bit. In the end it works ;) Outside sitting was nice. The inside looked a little bit dark.

Be careful coming here. This place is a HUGE SCAM! I haven’t had a problem anywhere on the island until coming here. My sister, boyfriend and I came here to do karaoke for a couple of hours. We had a blast! After being there for 3 hours, we asked to close out our tab. Our bartender charged us $600 USD for our bill. We looked it over and we got charged correctly for our drinks, but they tried charging us for taking 40 shots of Fireball. FORTY! We were 100% being taken advantage of, as if we actually did 40 shots of Fireball in 3 hours, we would not even be alive. The bartender was adding the shots that he was taking on-to our tab as well. We ended up agreeing to pay $400 USD for the tab (which is still OUTRAGEOUS) because they would not change the price of the tab and were arguing that it was correct. As we were walking out, they followed us on foot all the way to our hotel threatening to call the police because we didn’t pay for our whole tab. It was a very sketchy, dishonest, untrustworthy situation. It really sucks too, because it was a fun place and we had a great time. I would not trust the night time bartenders to save my life. Never again. Be very careful, cautious, and aware if you go here. But just save your time and a lot of money and don’t...

DO NOT GO TO STINGRAY! I REPEAT! DO NOT GO!! That is, unless, you’re in the mood to get scammed. We pulled up to stingray at about 8:45 and ordered margaritas right away. The margaritas were 2 for 1 until 9pm. When we got the margaritas, we were rudely informed that we had to pay full price for each margarita. Tell me how this makes sense when we ordered them before 9 o’clock??? When we tried to confront them about it, they quickly hid the 2 for 1 sign that was laying out before. STINGRAY IS A SCAM! if you don’t believe me, read the other reviews. And i’m not even done yet. We came to stingray for karaoke, because it was advertised as a karaoke place. When we asked about karaoke, we found out it was just an employee doing a sing-along. Not sure if they just don’t know the difference between a sing-along and karaoke or if they were just trying to scam us again, but either way, it was extremely false advertising. And to add, the sing-along guy wasn’t even good! My ears were starting to hurt so bad from his voice that I had to leave earlier than i planned on. Long story short, this place...
