Best baby back ribs and attentive service. Excellent chicken Oscar and several filet dishes. UPDATED April 7, 2023: We had another delicious dinner at Gosha's Restaurant last night. I usually slip into a routine of either the Yucatan-style Ribs (MMMM!) or the Chicken Oscar. This time I opted for the Chicken Parmigiana, even though the description sounded unlike what I'm used to. Instead of a breaded chicken cutlet drowning in sauce and hot mozzarella cheese oozing all over, this was literally a breath of SPRING. The chicken cutlet was perfectly cooked, served over a bed of spaghetti and topped with small, thin slices of ham, peas, and a light sprinkling of Feta cheese, with a sauce more like finely chopped tomatoes than the usual heavy tomato sauce. It was light and delicious, transporting me to an imaginary Tuscan landscape (despite being in the heart of Ajijic). I also changed up the steadfast creme brulee for the carrot cake (no nuts!). Again, soft, moist and delicious with a complementary cream cheese frosting. It's no wonder that Gosha's is one of the few restaurants that I...
Read moreRecently we are at Gosha's. We arrived and they took our temperature and offered us hand wash. Masks are required for entry. The tables were well spaced- 10 to 12 feet apart. It is a partially open air restaurant. The restaurant is right on the Carretera. We were greeted by our server, Octavio. He took our drink orders and returned with them quickly. Octavio then took our order. We had the guacomole prepared at the table by Octavio. The guacomole was delicious. Next was zucchini soup. It was very good. One of us had the Ceasar salad with grilled shrimp- prepared at our table by Octavio. The dressing was fantastic. The other two of us had pasta with shrimp in a mushroom sauce, and mac and cheese with shrimp. Both were great. The entire experience was fantastic. Octavio was one of the best servers we have ever had. All of the food was well prepared and delicious. I highly recommend you try Gosha's. I am sure you want be...
Read moreBreakfast was included at all of the hotels we stayed in, but we were in the mood for something different, like a more traditional USA style breakfast, and we found it here. Helen's Bacon, eggs, home fries and pancakes was exactly what you'd expect to get at a traditional NOB restaurant. I had the "beef tenderloin" steak and eggs. Since it wasn't a centercut, I guess they didn't want to call it a Filet Mignon, but it was every bit as good as a filet from a good steak house. Excellent customer service from our young, enthusiastic, fully bi-lingual server. Excellent in flavor and food quality and top notch service. With coffee and juice, about $19 US at today's higher exchange rates. I'll...
