Los 7 Pozoles Suc. Centro — Restaurant in Jalisco

I stopped here for a quick bite late morning, on my way out of town and was very pleasantly surprised. Though this restaurant was only a couple of blocks from my hotel, I passed it by several times without consideration, because of it's lack of ambience. In a beautiful, historic part of town, 7 Pazoles is a basic lunch spot, in a newer building, with little decor.

My mistake! What it lacked in atmosphere, it makes up for in great food! I enjoyed the menudo, which was rich and flavorful, and my partner had very good chilaquiles.

If only I'd started going there as soon as I had arrived in Guadalajara, I could have tried most of their pazoles. Sadly, I wasted time with restaurants in beautiful old buildings, that served...

Fuimos a la localización de el centro de Guadalajara y mi abuelita se tropezó con un clavo y la banqueta y se golpeó la cabeza y se raspo la rodilla. Cuando mi mama le dijo a la gerente que necesita hablarle a alguien obvio mi abuela tiene 75 años la vieja le contestó a mi mama que aquí no era Estados Unidos y que nos iba sacar. Eso lo que le dijo a mi mama la gerente era un comentario tan ignorante, improfesional, y una falta de empatía. Y hasta nos dijo que "lo único que ustedes quieren es sacar dinero" cuando estábamos esperando los paramédicos. Ayi también estaban otras señoras y un señor que se pararon aver si estaba bien mi abuela cuando se golpeó y nos contó la señora que ella también se tropezó en esa misma banqueta. Una de las meseras era bien amable con mi mama y mi abuela pero en verdad lo que dijo y como se comportó la Gerente era una desagradecida y ojalá arreglen esa banqueta y que la gerente aprenda a tratar los clientes con respeto y no ande acusando a la gente de cosas que no!

We went to the downtown location in Guadalajara and my grandma fell and hit her head and scraped her knee due to a nail and step that blends in with the floor. When my mom was asking the general manager to call someone(my grandma is 75 and we were worried because of how hard the fall was) she responded by telling us we're not in United States and wanted to kick us out. That comment was so ignorant, unprofessional, and lacks empathy. There was two other women and a man who came to check on my grandmother and also stated they tripped on the same step coming in and almost fell. The waiters where kind and so helpful towards my mom and grandmother. When we were waiting for the paramedics the general manager even accused us of "trying to get money from them". I hope they get that step fixed or at least a sign placed and I hope management gets a lesson on how to be professional instead of skewing ignorant...

Great flavors, but limited healthy choices This restaurant offers fantastic Mexican food with bold flavors and generous portions. However, if you're looking for a lighter option, the menu is mostly focused on fried dishes and soups. They don't have a large selection of vegetables or salads. Despite the lack of healthy options, I would still recommend this place for a tasty and enjoyable Mexican food experience. Just be aware of the menu...
