What a rare find! On the Carrera in Ajijic. Huge well ventilated room, all tables spaced well above virus specs. There are wide open windows, great view of the mountains & the lake. The menu is varied and reasonable. Food was good, service was exceptional. It does not have wifi, cash only and they have not music! A little background music would add so much ambiance, they have the speakers set up but nothing playing! Still can't wait to go back....the best part is they serve breakfast all day until closing at 4:30 p.m. Closed...

Fonda Dona Lola may look like a cavernous place sans much ambience, but it is a wonderfully peaceful place with excellent service, delicious fresh-made food from a simple but varied menu, with the occasional strolling musician stopping in. Try the jugo mixta with your breakfast. A favorite is Juevos Moltulenos, truly delicious and unique. Great start with the freshest complementary chips and salsa that I have ever had! Just right heat (medium plus) on the sslss pecante and awesome pico de gallo (finely diced, good chilis).
