Was walking past and wanted to try it out to see if it was as good as the Chata in Guadalajara. First thing that struck me was that despite the Million $ views there was nobody else at the restaurant. That was not a good sign, but we decided to check it out anyway.
Service was friendly, but a little slow despite us being the only ones.
Drinks: Terrible, flavorless, watered down sangria and very bad house wine
Food: Good, albeit very undercooked, arrachera steak. I asked for medium well and got very rare steak. Sent it back for more grill time, and they quickly brought it back butterflied but at the right temperature. That means they took that shortcut of butterflying it without even asking me if that was alright rather than cooking it a bit longer to get the right finish.
Seafood Stew: Good balance of fish and shelfish, although a bit too heavy on the squid and light on the shrimp. Overall fail because the stew was completely flavorless. It tasted like plain hot water. Kept adding salt, chili, sauces, etc with no improvement.
The view: Spectacular.
Recommendation: Go there to watch the sunset and only order beer or other canned drinks. The food isn't up to an adequate standard, and their house drinks are...
Read moreThe servers were courteous and that is the first thing you notice. I went as part of a party of 8 (all of Mexican decent) and we all loved our food (we all ordered different dishes to boot). The enchiladas with mole were a favorite and the sopes got eaten up quick. The guacamole is delicious and a crowd pleaser. Only main draw back is the restroom is really small and in the summer is a hotbox big enough for only one person. Also, the prices are similar to the U.S. so you won't be saving much money here since the prices are geared toward tourists. However, the sunset views over the bay at this place are awesome. This restaurant is covered, on the second floor of the building, but is open to the outside, so keep that in mind if it is really hot. They do have fans on the ceiling to take the edge off but you will still be warm if it is hot outside. We were happy...
Read moreI don’t know how this place has 3.9 stars when this is the worst so-called “Mexican” food I have ever had … i’m an American white boy who LOVES Mexican food, as his favorite … I didn’t like the rice & especially the Horchata … it’s pretty sad when I have found EXCELLENT Mexican restaurants all the way across the world in Thailand … I ordered the enchiladas (for myself) and this is the first time I never even received rice or beans or even sauce, just plain dry, with my enchiladas at ANY Mexican place 🤢🤮 … the quality of food should be the same from when they open until they close, which it is NOT (considering the rice)! 😕😞
… and my 4 friends that I went with, they say the same exact thing, even the ones who ordered just regular hamburgers, that they...
