The food was beyond my expectations & was the best meal I’ve had in pv. For moderate prices u get fine dining culinary dishes prepared with skill & attention. The apple salad was simply prepared but the gtreens were fresh & varied. The dressing was subtle & delicious. Wife had the rose pasta with salmon & baby asparagus . Perfectly cooked & she enjoyed the subtle taste. I got the pan seared signature salmon & thought I was eating something from Top Chef! Loved the subtle white creak sauce it came with. For dessert we shared the passion fruit crème brulee. This was not ur typical brûlée with the burnt top. The chef has refined culinary skill: roped by threads of spun sugar & a crunchy candied top over warm lilikoi cream. We thanked the owner for the meal & she introduced us to the chef who used to be the chef at la traviata (which explains my over cooked & salty pasta I had there just a day before). She told me they have his recipes but not his skills or his passion. You can taste it in every bite of his food . He was going& quiet unassuming man. I can see him individually shopping for his ingredients.
Service at both menos & la traviata were friendly & excellent, the view at la traviata is much better but as for the food….there is no contest , menos truly has a...
Read moreMere words are not enough to describe the excellence of this place. From the views, to the food and the amazingly friendly staff this place is blessed by the gods themselves. This place feeds your belly, your mind and your soul. Not at the top of any tour guides list but certainly should be. It's fame is like a fine wine, it just gets better with time. Located about 6 blocks north of the Malicon and 5 blocks up from the ocean on Calle Honduras it certainly is worth the walk. We had fresh made margaritas, Mexican wine, specialty desert drinks and of course anejo tequila to sip as well as appetizers, main course and the chef made us his favourite desert, and let's not forget the savory salsa and crisp chips all for under $145 cdn. Yes you read that correctly. All that for 2 people and under $145 hell ya I'm a huge fan. We are now officially Meno's familia. Many thanks to a fun staff that made us old people feel young and alive and giving us such a special evening that we will always remember, and will warm our hearts whenever we think of them. Thank-you to: Fernando, Lucy, Felix, Sergio, Bryan, Menito,...
Read moreI've been trying to go to Meño's for the past could of days but they were closed. Well this morning I found them open and finally got to experience the rooftop dining for breakfast. After checking in, you can either take the staircase up (a little workout before your meal) or the elevator but only at a pace of 3 people at a time. If you are going with a large party just be prepared to split up. Once at the top I was exposed to a very warm, colorful and homey vibe. The staff were very welcoming and friendly I just had to drop a star because our mimosas were forgotten about and we weren't checked back in on until our food was served. Now the food was something special just delicious home cooked tasting breakfast and you can tell everyone around was really enjoying their meal. I will be going back for their lunch that's for sure. Advance warning they only take cash so come prepared, not really an issue since if you are traveling you should have cash on you. Overall Meño's Place is a must visit if you want to feel like you are eating a home cooked meal at...
