UPDATE in my review: DIARRHEA FOR TWO DAYS STRAIGHT!! I wrote this original review on Saturday, and now Monday I couldn't go to work and had to cancel appointments because of this nasty place that has no care for what they make in the kitchen, PLEASE Do yourselves a favor and don't go there! One star is too high! I wish google had a -5 star review. This is by far THE WORSE restaurant that I've been to in PV! If you can avoid it, always do, I actually don't understand how they are still in business. My partner and I went there only because it was the birthday/farewell party for a good friend from Scotland that had never been there either and decided to give it a chance. My man and I are local and we pass the place any number of times on a daily basis, we live near by and at least for you can see from the exterior I would have never thought it was that terrible. It is like one of those places that I wished Gordon Ramsay would go to and tear apart. (although I think there's no hope for these folks) They are so well located and it's such a waste.
Here's how our experience went:
*when they sent the first mojito wrongfully with alcohol when my friend explicitly said 'virgen', some manager came to the table and said well, I won't charge for the drink...as if we would have paid for the freaking thing!! *The cheese didn't taste real at all, and the quesadilla tasted like it was gonna create a bad stomach to mey friend and it did. Worst, COLDEST arrachera tacos ever. The salsa was bad, as in rotten for easily at least one day or two. I understand that you get more foreinger than Mexicans but MAYO as sauce for a wrap? Really? The baja tacos were soggy, not crispy at all and the tortillas were so cold and dressings were so tasteless.
Now, the manager comes again to 'compensate' for the expired salsa with a dessert that allegedly 'the chef' made and let me tell you: either that supposed person is not a chef or has lost love for food a VERY long time ago. It was this weird cup with soaked bread, chocolate, yellow corn (clearly from a can just opened) with some sort of vanilla ice cream that was anything but tasty. He came and asked how it was, and I said, I hate it, it's not of my liking to which he replied: I guess today is not the Chef's lucky day. LUCKY DAY!!???? This is not about luck, dude! When you manage/own a restaurant you either stay on point or you go out of business, because you can be a freaking get somebody very sick or worse, health hazard.
We don't mind paying a pricey meal, but this was an absolute rip-off.
The only reason why we stayed at the venue was because our friend was having a good time listening to the live music, which is probably the only good thing there, the band. But honestly, it's not worth to go throught that terrible experience just to listen to a couple of live tunes that you could listen to at home without getting robbed.
Like I said, before, If you can avoid it please do so. Go somewhere else, these guys are completely...
Read more2022 was awesome. 2023 prices are totally out of control compared to other local restaurants.
Check your bills before paying.
Took forever to get served.
2 couples that came in 15 minutes after us were se4ved first. Sure waitstaff might have been on break.
More concerned about ringing dang bell when people walk in then taking orders, in my opinion.
They over charged for drinks. Good thing we caught it.
It was ladies night and mojitos daiquiri margaritas free to ladies 7pm to 11pm.
They tried charging us for premium tequila. 390 pesos for 2 margaritas That 14.00 CAN or 11us. Most places pour premium in front of you. Not monkey business
Wings were over cooked and alot smaller then last year and most other places.
Drinks are way over priced and not like any other establishment proce wise or taste.
Too sweet. Never giving option of on rocks or blended Or choice of liquor.
Burger wasn't too bad. But wasn't over top like last year.
After looking over bill Noticed ladies night free drinks were on bill and charged us for Don Julio which we never asked for or seen poured.
They took off bill after demanding to see manager.
This is not a good way to do business.
Steps up are rotted out, holes everywhere, safer to use ramp.
Monkey business sure going down hill in less then a year.
Its unfortunate it was awesome place to meet friends have a few drinks and eat.
Hopefully they get it together before it's too late.
Too many great local places that are way better and not so...
Read moreWe really liked this place. They welcome you with a bell and screaming as each person enters. The staff was very friendly and provided rapid service. We got the Gorilla burger, with extra meat. It was a surprisingly very tasty and moist burger, with the regular veggie toppings and onion rings within the sandwich, with a small serving of spicy fries on the side. Came with a delicious spicy mayo dip. They played a bunch of lively music, and it was entertaining to watch the wait staff sing and dance to the music. The staff tried their best to speak English, but not very fluent. They also had a live band that performed...but they were not very good...reading their lyrics off of an iPad on a stand. Although we had a good time, I’m giving this place just a 4 star rating because they seemed to purposely short change us when it came to paying...and then played dumb when it was brought to their attention. So, if paying by cash, please be sure to double-check your change. Also, they have a suggested tip of 15% built into your bill...which is pretty lame for PV...no one else does that. I always give a good tip, but don’t like to be told to do it. All that being said, I will definitely come back and give them...
